  1. So that means we get Harang and Arroyo next week.....crap.
  2. Is anyone else thinking Mark Prior is going to shut us down today? Not feeling good about this one. I think it's gonna take about 6 runs to win today and I don't think it's gonna happen.
  3. Hard to believe we're only 4.5 games out of FIRST place. Not that I think we're gonna win the division but it's still cool. I honestly can't remember the last time we were this close to first late in the season (these statements speak to the pathetic history of this franchise). Man oh man am I thankful we moved to the NL....the same record in the AL would land us a solid 12 games out of the Wild Card and the season would be virtually over.
  4. Man I love playing the Cubs. I gotta believe that they're the worst team in baseball.
  5. LOL. Nice work by the JS staff. I just can't see how someone could get hit in their pitching arm with a line drive hit about 70mph and not miss any time. Not trying to be pessemistic just that I highly doubt he'll start against the Twins.
  6. We gotta win tonight as the Zambrano vs. Jackson matchup tomorrow has me worried. The last thing we want is a four game losing streak going into Wednesday.
  7. That's the same thing everyone said when we lost 8 in a row. A few weeks later we were back at .500 and people are getting excited about the wild card. It's still early and we're still trying to get our pitchers healthy so let's not jump off the bandwagon just yet.
  8. Woo-hoo! Another 1-2-3 inning! It's like we're not even trying today.
  9. It's sad when 2 runs in an insurmountable lead. There is no way we score 3 runs today.
  10. Are we going to get shut out by the Royals??? It looks like it.
  11. Nice to see Ned yank Helling before he dug an even bigger hole for himself. On the bright side, the Brewers are due for a HR today since they didn't homer yesterday.
  12. We're not gonna win today. I can feel it.
  13. I think a loss today will put the board on meltdown mode. We cannot lose 2 of 3 to KC!!! BTW...good to see Ned is furious about last night. It beats the heck out of "we battled but came up a bit short, this team has a lot of heart." I wanna see Ned throw some chairs around the clubhouse.
  14. Why do I have a bad feeling our bats are going to go silent after not scoring last inning? Not lookin' good tonight.
  15. It was Clark who hit the grounder to Graffanino.
  16. The manager doesn't decide in that situation. The runner on third has no choice but to run in order to stay out of the double play. The only thing worse than making an out in a run-down is to stand at third and let the other team turn two.
  17. How many games have we lost due to bad defense by Hall? If we lose tonight, you could argue one but even that would be a stretch. I'll take Billy's bat in the lineup ten times out of ten over Hardy's.
  18. I'm guessing Hall's injury had something to do with the 10 or so times he was forced to slide back to first after his single earlier in the game. There was one slide in particular where he really took his time getting up. Of course FSN didn't pick up on this.
  19. So what's your point? Should we bench him, trade him??? There are 29 other MLB teams that would LOVE to have Hall on their team.
  20. I thought Hall looked pretty good tonight at short other than the big error. He made a sensational play to get a guy at second earlier in the game. Some of you guys need to get off the ledge.
  21. $10 says Rick Helling is back on the DL in the next few days.
  22. I'm a little bit worried about tonight and this series. Every time we talk about the wild card we choke. Honestly, I'll just be happy with one win against Detroit as long as we can take two from KC this weekend.
  23. I thought I heard that the Brewers record when Moeller plays is something like 3-14. If that's true, I think that's more than just a coincidence.
  24. I would've thought the same thing in his last home start vs. StL.
