    i was at the game last night. not too big of a crowd, but nearly everyone was standing when we choked in the 8th and 9th. what is with yost bunting with only one out? he did it twice last night, one of the times with geoff jenkins of all people. the average runs scored with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs is .23 runs LOWER than a runner on 1st and one out. unless you have a pitcher or two singles hitters coming up i don't see the point.

    maybe the struggles in the bullpen will press beane to upgrade that part of the team in his yearly "holy sh*t" midseason deals and those upgrades will carry them past the first round of the playoffs.
