  1. Honestly i think it's TLR's doing. You take on the personality of your manager sometimes and he seems like the kind of guy who complains about everything, and probably feeds the "us vs the world" mentality.
  2. If that's the consensus, i have no problem letting it die. Like i said, i was just trying to help the buyers out(i search eBay when I'm bored, so i come across this stuff a lot), i have no vested interest here.
  3. Your grandpa was a smart cookie. I'll have to remember that one.
  4. I have noticed we have a ton of threads here about finding rare/hard to find bobbles on eBay here, and i figure it would be easiest for us to just post them all into one thread, so the links are easier to keep track of. This is basically just a "heads up", type thing for all the collectors out there who don't have the time to search, but don't wanna miss out. So i'll start it out: Found one Mr. 3000 for sale today, http://cgi.ebay.com/Mr-30...&hash=item3a66340731 Current Price is $56 with about 2 days left An old Hank Aaron from the 70s(with a real high price tag) http://cgi.ebay.com/Vinta...&hash=item255f84cc53 Fielder HS Bobble(not sure how rare it is, as i've seen it every once in a while) http://cgi.ebay.com/Princ...&hash=item27b9646623 Jeffrey Hammonds bobble http://cgi.ebay.com/2003-...&hash=item1e63db8c44 Mark Attanasio bobble http://cgi.ebay.com/Mark-...&hash=item1e63db70ea Another Hammonds with a BIN http://cgi.ebay.com/2003-...&hash=item2eb1056edd Blue Molitor bobble http://cgi.ebay.com/Paul-...&hash=item1e63db6bd3
  5. The FF 5 Beta is out. One thing i have noticed: You can switch between Beta, Release, and Aurora versions without needing to download the file separately(i think it's called a channel switcher). Download here: http://blog.mozilla.com/f.../2011/05/20/firefoxbeta/ I'm running it now, it's pretty stable, but obviously most of my add ons don't work.
  6. Its' stuff like this that makes me think you should have to pass a test to be able to have kids.
  7. The 2002 Brewmaster bobblehead from the all star game(i think?). It screams 1860s president assassin to me. That being said, i REALLY want one.
  8. I thought i remember reading about you sitting in that section. I'll say hi. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Reports are that the president is being treated for a torn rotator cuff and dislocated hip. He has been high fiveing and pimp strutting too much tonight. Great celebration. Also: Read that May 1st is now the death date for both Hitler and Bin Laden. Odd indeed.
  10. When you see 2 catchers and you throw to the wrong one, it becomes problematic.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Actually Lowe was a fool; very visible in the bar scene and frequently showing up hungover in the clubhouse. He was also seen around the back bay with a different girl just about every night, while his wife was pregnant. The Sox weren't real happy with that public image.
  11. Charter gave us a "deal" two months ago to reduce our bill by about $20(basically giving us showtime for free), they didn't take the cost off last month, so the wife called. They apologized and said it would be fixed. The bill for this month came today..........Still not off. I gotta call tomorrow and i am PISSED right now.
  12. You are right, but these are: .239/.330/.385/.716 He was valuable for 1 of the 7 years of his career. That's like saying Billy Hall earned a rabid fan love because of his one two good years as well(3 if you want to count last year in boston). The difference is Doug knew when to cut ties with Gabe. Had he kept him, nobody would defend him right now.
  13. Just starting using it, and i love it. I use it a lot because i am always using different computers(work, home school), as well as my phone, so i don't have to worry about losing a paper, i just upload it and i'm good to go. Also, the whole syncing pics from my phone is super useful. It's not that big a deal to plug in my phone to my PC and drag the files, but when i'm out and about, it's just super easy. Anybody here see any drawbacks to it? Quick link if anybody isn't familar with it. dropbox
  14. back when one could eat a grilled cheese and watch the brewers win in 16 inning, on a west coast night game, knowing the people in the IGT probably made up 1/2 the veiwership on FSN. Or talk about how Adrian Hernandez could help the club. How far we have come.
  15. I think my wings can beat the sharks, but with the way the playoffs have gone, who knows? This year has been awesome so far.
  16. $5 worth of 25 cent wings? Check. $20 worth of beer? Check. Only being charged $6 for beer because the bartender is a moron? WIN.
  17. I've got a few conflicts, so i have to sell some of my tickets this season. Face is $42 for the pair(seats 1-2, right on the aisle), so I'm asking $25 Just trying to get my money back, no profit(or, if you would rather trade tickets/other stuff, lemme know. I'm open to ideas.) They are Terrace Box 417, so the view is awesome, and no high stairs to climb. It's the Kohl's Family Section, so no booze while sitting, but it also means less annoying drunks(which is a major perk, IMO). Sun, May 15th vs the Pirates Sun July 10th vs Reds Tues, August 16th vs Dodgers Wednesday, August 31st vs the Cardinals. EDIT: Updated.
  18. I tried to dislike him after he signed with the astros, but i couldn't do it. Too nice of a guy, and he seems like a ton of fun. I still cheer for him(just not against us)
  19. So was Keith Ginter...... and Dickerson..... and Brady Clark..... Heck, i wasn't here when we had Paul Bako, but i bet he was loved too(for the record, i was a huge Ginter follower). It's just the way fans are. We latch on to certain players for whatever reason and overvalue them because they wear the jersey of our favorite team.
  20. Homer, if Braun fails to reach base tonight, i'm coming after you for starting this thread. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif I think his CS% will go up as well, as the mullet creates more lift, so he won't be able to get under the tag as often.
  21. Bill Brasky once hit .578 with 95 HRs and 3,000 RBI as a 38 year old. His OPS was so high it rolled back over to 0.000, & he only finished around .850. http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivational-poster/0809/to-bill-brasky-demotivational-poster-1221156007.jpg
  22. he also played his last several years during the middle of the steroid era, so i would take those numbers with a grain of salt. EDIT: i didn't see all the other comparisons you made, and for the record, i agree with most of those.
  23. Best line by FAR: "They're supposed to be the best fans in baseball. Yeah, right." http://www.chicagotribune...-apology,0,6365531.story
