  1. I made this the other day, i think it turned out great. https://diethood.com/instant-pot-honey-garlic-chicken-recipe/ Also, started making yogurt in mine. Super cheap and turns out great.
  2. Look, he's not the blue chip we were all hoping for, but he gets on base at a decent clip and has good pop. He looks like he could be a 20/20 guy, which would be ok with me.
  3. I mean, he is more valuable as a SS so I can understand if he is. He doesn't have the traditional power that a 3B has. I expected them to try him at 2nd, but I guess scooter has been playing well enough to keep him there.
  4. So that twitter account is mocking them intenially right? Just wanted to make sure because I honestly wouldn't put it past their fans to be like that Yes. They retweet ignorant/racist comments from cardinals fans.
  5. Shoot, I remember discussions on this board about how Angel Salome was the next coming of Carlton Fisk and how it's an outrage that Lucroy.could possibly start over him in AA.
  6. I'm going to cut you off right there. Yeah, BR usually isn't very reliable.
  7. This kind of attitude contributed to the reception you got in the other thread. Want more behind the door info, then keep your mouth shut. If you want to give people inside info, that's great. If you're gonna throw around that kind of attitude, you can keep the info to yourself for all I care. Hearing about a possible trade a day or so early isn't worth putting up with that kind of nonsense.
  8. I use a homemade UDS(Ugly Drum Smoker). Works great and is honestly set it and forget it. I've done 16 hour cooks on that thing without having to fiddle with it after starting it. I actually don't soak my wood. I take chunks of the wood I want to use and just place it on the coals. I've never noticed any difference in smoke flavor when you soak the wood or just throw it on. I just view it as an unnecessary step. Check out this for some general tips. They aren't all canon, but they are good tips to get you started. That's why you wait for sales and stock up. I don't buy ribs when they're $3.99 a lb, I'll buy several racks when they're $1.99 and throw them in the freezer. Find a small pork roast and start with that. It's a cheap way(they will usually cost less than $10 to try it out. Brisket is crazy expensive because beef prices are still insanely high. I won't even bother with that.
  9. Red Line is in Skokie, IL. So you could taake the train. The yellow line is in Skokie, it ends at Howard where the Red line begins. That's a great route into Wrigley. It's how I get in and out every time. You just gave to be mindful of the time, as the yellow line doesn't run 24 hrs like the Red line does.
  10. Wow, I didn't realize how bad Bailey has pitched this year. For the reds sake, he better improve as they own him for a long while.
  11. That was my thought as well. Yes, Russell is an amazing talent, but other than that? I'm underwhelmed. I think Hammel by himself could pull in more than McKinney and Straily. To get both pitchers in one deal, you'd think the A's would need to give up a premium. I think it's a decent deal by the cubs, but not really that big of a haul. The Cubs also got the A's #2 or 3 prospect in McKinney, who is an intriguing talent himself. Straily is about to become Chris Bosio (you guys remember Bosio, ) new pet project. If Jake Arrieta, Scott Feldman, 2013 Travis Wood, Jason Hammel, (now if the Cubs can get Ed Jackson to listen to Bosio) are any indication, then Straily is going to become a really good pitcher. The deal is a little light for my taste, but they still did very well. And should the PTBNL become a "Neil Ramirez" type talent, then this deal becomes awesome. Yes, the Cubs are getting a PTBNL. Morosi and Rosenthal are wrong on that. McKinney is in high A(and is struggling there, btw). He may be the A's #2/3 guy, but at that low of a level he still has a high flame out rate(remember, the hardest jump to make is usually A-AA). Straily has been terrible this year. Could Bosio get him on the right track? Maybe, but at this point you are buying low on him and he is far from a sure thing. He did well his first year, then the league got the book on him and lit him up. If he can make adjustments, he can do well. If not? He's another AAAA pitcher like Ben Hendrickson. Again, neither guy is at the point where you should consider him a main piece in a trade for a front line guy. If it was just hammel, that would be an decent return, but nothing mind blowing. When you consider it's basically Addison for Shark, and Straily/McKinney for hammel, it's really not that great of a deal. Like I said, not bad but not great either. The PTBNL could make it better, but I'm not gonna judge a trade based off of uncertain variables right now. When he is named, we can reevaluate. Until then? Meh.
  12. A quick internet search had me seeing those diamond box seats selling for around $300 per single seat, without the feet. As a pair with seat feet? It'd say fair value would be over $600. The diamond box seats were rare. That being said, I don't know the current market for these.
  13. That was my thought as well. Yes, Russell is an amazing talent, but other than that? I'm underwhelmed. I think Hammel by himself could pull in more than McKinney and Straily. 14. I started reading the books after last season. I am currently a book ahead of the tv show. For me, i am enjoying the TV show more now, as i not only fully know all the characters and their back stories a little better(Sometimes the show glosses over that a little bit), but i am excited to see how the show portrays upcoming scenes. As for the death scene, it was pretty accurate(it seemed pretty excruciating when i read it, as it seemed to drag on longer in the books). The only things i remember being different is that Joff clawed at his throat as he was dieing in the books, as well as the fact that Jamie hadn't made it back to Kings landing yet(he arrived just after the death). Both are by no means a big deal, just a few small differences i noticed.
  15. This, completely this. I am perfectly fine with hearing about Hank, as it not only gives the Human Society free pub(I'm all for good causes getting free publicity), but keeps the media off the Braun story. Has anybody heard read any stories about Braun's return? Or fan reaction to his first game post suspension? Nope.
  16. North Dakota always scares me. I really hope the badgers can pull it out.
  17. Reminds me of the Farm story arc.
  18. I was just coming here to suggest this. Tropico is an excellent series.
  19. here ya go. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/3/6/4070580/kareem-abdul-jabbar-milwaukee-bucks-coach-rumors I guess the question is, can he coach? Sure, his presence would definitely help Sanders, but he doesn't need to be the head coach to do that.
  20. That's ok, about 80% of Blackhawk fans didn't have an allegiance until 2010. It's completely different IMO because we have never had an NHL. And they are the closest thing to us. My disdain of Bears/Cubs fans prohibits me from rooting for any Chicago team. I just can't root for a team knowing that 90% of the fans around me root for the bears in the fall and the Cubs in the summer. That, and seeing all the Kane and Toews jerseys magically start springing up in 2011 got under my skin. "I've been a Hawks fan my entire life! 'TOES' is my favorite player!" "You mean Toews?" "Whatever! Wooo!" Sure, there are some diehards out there who sat through the Dollar Bill years(and much respect is given to them), but the majority of the fan base now are the same front runners who jumped on the cubs bandwagon in 2003. Not my cup of tea.
  21. The fact that you get them in the door should be more than enough. If they complain about seat location, just tell em they won't have to worry about it next time.
  22. Very possible. I'll give him a second chance on your recommendation.
  23. Wings are playing a LOT better than i expected them to so far. Damien Brunner has really been a wonderful surprise. I expected him to play well, but to be tied for the team lead in goals on a team that has Zetterberg and Datsyuk is very impressive. I'd really like Mrazek to get some more chances in goal, not to mention anybody who has Peter Griffen on their mask automatically gets points from me. Jimmy Howard has been ok, but nothing special. http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1260314.1360544890!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_635/family.jpg
  24. This. I thought i this was 2004 all of a sudden.
