Sure missed a few pitches in that inning...came back with some nasty stuff.

With Yo going and the shadows coming...and no Owings as a PH...I'm feeling good about this early lead.

It was great to see Cameron mention "We got Yo going tomorrow" with a big smile on his face after the game last night. It's great to see Yo really step up as the team's ace and for the team to respond.

Hardy > Bucholz > Escobar Hardy would be more than a rental for the Sox. Bucholz is an outstanding prospect, but is just that...a prospect. He's probably equivalent in trade value to LaPorta. We also had to contribute 4 additional prospects to get that deal done...some were rated higher than others. Hardy would not have the value of CC, but if the deal is done over the off-season the extra time makes up for it. It would take more than Bucholz to get Hardy. Probably another top 10 (closer to 10) and one lower level prospect at least.

If they are going to do a trade for Corey it should be after the season. Who would another starter replace in the rotation? Soup would be the obvious one, but they aren't going to let a $10MM+ contract take over McClung's role. The dropoff in the lineup that has already suffered from losing Weeks would be too much. Corey is a streaky player...it's nice to see him picking it up. Since some were looking at his last 150 games...Corey could still make his trailing 162 look good with a couple solid weeks!

It was nice to see the Crew do some "yardwork" last night. I thought Harang had the same outing that Wainwright had on Tuesday. They both left a bunch of pitches out over the plate to our big boppers...this time they took advantage. That day off on Thursday seemed to be just what the doctor ordered. Let's hope for a nice quick victory for Yo & the boys and a good nights sleep in Miami tonight!

With Weeks out of the lineup, we really need Hardy. I think at this point they need to play with the lineup they have. I'm not sure they will get a better pitcher than what they have without paying too high of a price. As was mentioned, if they get comfortable enough to go with Escobar, maybe it's an off-season move.

Untuckem...nice to see that ball fly over the fence again. I almost forgot what that felt like. How nice would it be to get Corey hot?!?

It would be nice to get Cueto out of there before they would bring in Weathers.

Bad owner, bad front office and old players...yep, fire the manager, that will do it. Usually you hear how bad the manager was after he gets canned, but it sounds like Justice knows he's on his way out so you might as well kiss the butts of those who will be left.

Funny stuff in the Chicago Tribune today, including a ranking of Z's top-5 blowups (yesterday got #2): http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-28-cubs-zambrano,0,222300.story

Even the homer Cubs announcers thought Z was being an idiot. Now that's saying something.

I had the same reaction blingster. I can see not bunting if you just don't want to give up the out or whatever, but because you think this major league veteran can't get it down? Exactly...put in someone who can including Suppan.

This trade would really scare me. The contract alone could hamstring the franchise for years let alone the price of the prospects we can't afford to give up.

The profits must be a lot higher on the placebos.

Whatever he did worked...they got 3 runs the next inning and won. Gatorade dispenser, umpire or backup catcher...watch out for Big Z when he's looking to rally the troops.

That Gatorade machine has had a rough week. Dempster punched it earlier in the week.

We gave up a run on a blown DP...how about getting it back Craiger.

Somebody please get us to Hardy.

If we could just get Braunie and Fielder back on track behind him we could get the O back pretty quick.
