Did Cameron & Braun both strain their necks when they realized Macha was bringing in Julio? This game is turning into an unmitigated disaster. -
Macha...you had me...then you lost me. The most idiotic move I have seen by a manager including the entire Yost tenure. If they don't DFA this guy after the game they are off their rocker. Ridiculous.

I guess Volquez left the game after an inning tonight with more back pain. It seems every major contender has had some fairly key injuries so far this year...or lost someone to 'roids in the Dodgers' case.

Hall vs. LHP - .361/.378/.611 - Probably not sustainable, but better than one would expect from McGehee...despite making me look stupid tonight. I have no problem with it.

I thought the Marlins pen was actually ok. Usually I love to see those pitch counts get up there so we can get to a soft pen, but I think their pen is better than most of their starters except Johnson. Prince tried to steal? Someone explain that one to me.

With all due respect to Craig Counsell...what a waste of 2 WS Championships for such a crummy fanbase. Ueck having a little fun ripping them.

The Hall bashing has gone way too far IMO. Yes, Gamel is probably a better option at the plate against RHP, but Hall is still the better option vs. LHP. He's also much better in the field and should probably be in late in most games as a defensive sub. In this manner, I think Macha has been using him properly. Fans are underestimating how our improved defense over the last two years has helped our pitching staff...look at the huge play he made on Saturday. I think Mat will become a solid regular starter, but at this point he is still a huge question mark in the field. Sorry, had to vent. Go Brewers.

When I was in school an old girlfriend gave me a Badger Hockey jersey for Christmas...they won the first game I wore it to snap a losing skid so of course I had to wear it each game after that, without washing it. The one game I didn't wear it they lost of course. I figured it was a road game so I'd be ok, but no. By the time I was sitting in Detroit watching them win the Nat'l Championship, that thing was quite beer soaked and disgusting...but it was undefeated, must have been 20 games without a loss.!! It even worked at the '94 Rose Bowl...that disgusting thing had mythical powers and still sits in my closet. Although it has been washed since, it does bear a few mustard and secret stadium sauce stains from a failed attempt to have it help the Brewers in the late '90s. It's powerful, but it did have limits. Moral of the story...Keep the Power 50 shirt going!!!

Rich Aurilia just went deep against the Cards...Giants up 4-3 in the 8th. Dodgers (Milton) @ Cubs (Marshall) on ESPN tonight...c'mon Dodgers!!!

I'd put the odds on him being back...probably at a lower price. It seems our young guys could use another year. I would think that Rivera would gradually grab more playing time...maybe more of a 1/3 - 2/3 split.
