    I guess this came out a week ago, but MLB Advanced Media signed a deal to broadcast games locally over the net with the Padres & Yankees. I'm sure the other teams will follow. The good news is it will give the local folks some more options, the bad news is they will likely charge for it.     Brewers seem to be swinging first pitch on every at bat. Not sure if that makes as much sense with Pelfrey as it did with Santana last night.

    Was just thinking the same thing sarge. Yo will be done after 6 at this rate. He needs a couple 8-10 pitch innings and it's unlikely with the top of the order coming up.

    Big inning for Burns. Makes it easier to go to the pen next inning with a quicker hook if needed.

    Philly had Hamels and a bunch of stiffs last year and won. Blanton got hot at the end of the year, the other guys were serviceable and their bullpen was stellar. They also scored like crazy. No reason the Brewers can't get to the same place although it will take an improvement from here.

    Manny may be up for his next start after his outing tonight. We really need him if he can be reasonably effective.

    Another night, another non-quality start. Soup has been our second best pitcher too...that really speaks well of the staff. Ugh.

    This game has so far proven two things...umpires need to be replaced by robots and the Brewers starting pitching is just flat out bad.

    No doubt Sarge, that is one bad bullpen. They already have the AAA guys up...they'd need to go to AA. Two big comebacks in a row for the Cubs...ugh.

    Galarraga has really struggled since April. With a guy from Double-A tomorrow, it would be nice to get deep into their bullpen early.

    Indians get out of it still up 7-6...3-4-5 up in the 9th for the Cubs. Tough to be optimistic here. That is one bad bullpen.

    Oh no...here comes the Cubs. 7-4 bott 8 with 1st and 3rd 2 out. The Indians bullpen is simply horrendous.

    I would agree with you guys. They are better than a .500 team and they certainly will be after Ramirez comes back. I'd sure like to be another 4-5 games ahead of them.

    Rich Harden today... 5 IP 7 H 7 ER 3 BB 2 K 2 HR on 87 pitches. His ERA now stands at 5.27. Beautiful, just beautiful.

    Harden getting rocked at Wrigley today. Thank goodness Lee is on the mound. A seven run lead isn't enough with that bullpen...even after the DFA'd Aquino.

    Cubs come back and win 6-5. Linebrink is rapidly approaching Gary Sheffield as my least favorite ex-Brewer. He stunk with us, then he gets good in the AL except when it counts against our rival. That guy and that trade was an unmitigated disaster. We would have been better off just releasing the guys we traded to the Pads.

    Ramirez 2 run jack...Sox back up 3-1. Crew need to put some serious distance between themselves and the Cubs before ARam gets back.

    Even the Indians announcers commented on Hall admiring his shot. Something to the effect of the guy is hitting .199 and barely got it over the fence, I'm not sure I'd be admiring my homers in that situation. Couldn't really disagree with them.

    Tribe announcers admit to getting a break there. I had had no idea Mike Hegan was their announcer.

    I don't think he was being cocky after he caught it. He had just blown a routine pop up and lost it in the sun so he was breathing a sigh of relief at having caught the second one...before he winged it in the stands. Not cocky, just stupid.
