Thanks for the red button tip... now why couldn't the CSR have found that channel for me???... 75% of a 40 minute call was on hold while she checked things. (I did let her know my frustration was not directed towards her, and acknowledged she is probably just reading the script or doing what her supervisors are telling her to say and that my beef is with the management/executives). And now that finally have it on TV, I've got to leave for a meeting 90 minutes away... bring on Bob & Corey! -
And yet when I explained people on cable were able to watch in Eau Claire, DTV claimed that "anyone showing the game was breaking the law" (At least they confirmed I was under no contractual obligation to stay with them)

15 minutes into it and haven't even gotten to that level yet, still trying to convince them Brewers aren't on 668 FSN-N... they don't even seem capable of acknowledging the second class treatment of 669 FSN-Wi (or the existence of the alternate 652 RSNa) EDIT: Another half hour and no progress (caught and documented them in many false statements)... I've got to cool down and wait to compose some rationale thoughts. Should have something very interesting to post in the FSN, FS-Wi and emails with DirecTV thread next week. Thank you shadow fan http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Cable or satellite?

Could you tell me what source and city you are getting that? Not sure why... but I'm gonna waste another half hour on the phone with "customer service"

I'm getting the George Lopez show now... but I'm scheduled to get the Mets & Giants at 3pm (can they get a matchup further from the Midwest?)
-
If anyone stumbles across an alternate channel showing the game on DirecTV, I would appreciate the heads up (no luck with the alternate 652 today), thanks.

When will TLR order the first beaning?

Another argument for waiting another week to bring up Mat Gamel... I think having Brad Nelson on your side in a brawl would be beneficial (no comment regarding the odds of making solid contact with a swing though) -

Maybe the Indians can take on the Russians... it seemed to help Rocky IV rebound... boxing, olympic hockey, fake baseball... Russian upsets seem good for sports-movies http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Harry Doyle + Russian Vodka = Good One-Liners

Seems as the consensus is $4300 is on the very high extreme, but from my experiences I thought even the $1300-$1500 numbers being reported seemed a little high. Not sure what cities everyone is reporting from or how much has changed in the past couple of months, but up in the Central/Northcentral part of the state I was able to get my initial financing through one of the big national banks 6 years ago for ~$800 closing costs, and refinanced 4 years ago through a regional bank for ~$300. I pointed another co-worker's family towards that same regional bank a few months ago and they still got similarly low pricing... if anyone from these parts is interested in more details, you may want to look up Time Federal Savings Bank (and no, I don't work in the industry either).

Suggestions for locations in NYC to watch games...

Friday and Sunday games are scheduled to be on WGN... hopefully that increases your chances of getting the game on TV where you are at [insert your own comments about Cubs announcers here]. -
actually, I've heard of that term before from somewhere... We got a guy on our softball team that has done it by himself in a game... coincidentally, this game had a bit of a softball game feel from the beginning.

I believe there was also a cheeseburger reference earlier. BA pointed out the hecklers... wonder if that was a subtle reminder for the production truck to use the delete sound button when necessary (does FSN do the 3-second delay, or is that just with major productions?)

I think I might have won the Home Run Inning contest...

You may want to contact hawing, she recognized a BFNetter as one of the winners - http://forum.brewerfan.net/search.php?keywords=519687/t/2009-04-28-Pirates-Maholm--Brewers-Bush-7-05-PM-CDT-Brewers-.html#reply-519687 -
Never a doubt! Wonder how far Yo has made it up the hated list on the Pirate forums today?

A little insurance from the offense would make whatever pitching decision less stressful.

Good question, that was an absolutely doofus move by Macha, unless I'm overlooking something. The guy can't hit lefties, period. Don't set him up to fail. And I agree about the booing. Tasteless. Not the greatest argument, but the only righty on the bench was McGehee, and he was likely holding him back as the emergency catcher with Rivera already out of the game. Remember a few years back when fans showed their support when Prince was struggling out of the gate. Ahhh, the good ole days....

Nothing other than Miller products touch my cooler all year round, regardless if it is at the park, on the pontoon, while camping, at the ball field, in the ice shack, etc... so it is certainly going to be Miller (Lite) at Miller Park.

DirecTV has it on both 652 and 736 right now, but both have a lot of static on the audio... better than nothing Edit: Yay, the static cleared up... now let's find out what Braun & the Boys have planned for the Pirates after last night's beaning

Ask and ye shall receive! Nice!

Well, there goes the save opp... He's warm, so Hells Bells gonna play anyhow!

From JSOnline Blog: 2B Rickie Weeks SS Craig Counsell LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder CF Mike Cameron RF Brad Nelson 3B Bill Hall C Jason Kendall LHP Manny Parra Well... seems as the "JV lineup" surprised us several Sundays last year (too bad a day following a late night extra inning game didn't result in an extra Rivera appearance)

63 thru 5 innings

We'll consider yours a minor infraction. But my friend was guilty of major infractions. I'll make him pay this weekend with a nasty shot of some sort.I've already been informed by my teammates that got my message that I'm buying after softball practice tonight due to my little infraction.
