  1. Could we also be talking about our own Tool Shed?
  2. Despite just falling short of Pepsi's $250K grant, Trenton's family has been proceeding with this project, with numerous fundraisers and opportunities to donate - more details in today's JSOnline
  3. For those that preferred the old version, there is a "classic" button in the top right corner that reverts back to last year's format.
  4. Latex-based shouldn't be allowed to freeze, oil-based can tolerate cold weather. But if in doubt, why don't risk it?
  5. A different report that seems to suggest that Molina didn't think it was profane, or player prompted ejection... so who's to be believed? “Molina said he hadn't heard anything other than Davidson saying, "I'm going to throw that guy out." "What's the big deal?" Molina said. "Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan, who much earlier had been ejected by Davidson, said Molina had told him that profanity had not been used.” A professional umpire thinking "it was great" to make the ejections, tells me enough about his attitude.
  6. They gave Pagnozzi a hit for reaching first, but since the throw went into the dugout, allowing him to advance to second is where the error was charged.
  7. I believe the phrase is draw a bead or in this case had a bead on the ball. Maybe it is just another typo, rather than the wrong word. These two-other sentences also appear in the game article (not just the blog): "Troy Tulowitzki watches his three-run hone run that was just out of the reach of Ryan Braun in the eighth inning Friday." "“He’s out best pitcher,” Macha said." http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  8. Awwww, the sad timing. Just last night at softball, RF made an over-the-shoulder basket catch and nearly simultaneously guys from both teams pulled out the "Nice catch, Hayes. Don't ever [expletive] do it again." And you can guarantee just about any time an infielder missed a grounder by playing it off to the side that it will be met with the Dorn "Ole" reference.
  9. I'll go with Yo over anyone on the Pirates pitching staff
  10. I stand corrected, I was just remembering hearing a few people shouting YEEHAW when it came to that point in the song... and upon looking up the lyrics that appears to also be a prominent part of Hillbilly Bone. I was only sure of Sideways for Stetter since it made me think it matched his throwing style.
  11. Based upon the title, I thought this was going to be the follow up to the Russian math guy thinking about turning down a million dollar prize
  12. I believe Corey's music on Tuesday night was Yeehaw by Jake Owen. And Mitch Stetter came into Sideways by Dierks Bentley.
  13. I liked those first two Dorito commercials that MHgb mentioned. Not as catchy as "shankapotomus", but got a chuckle out of the e-trade baby slipping in the "milkoholic" reference. And I also could have done without the growing theme of pasty-white, out-of-shape, middle-agers prancing around in their underwear. But what really threw me for a loop, after all that went down last month, what was the deal with Leno helping Letterman promote his show?
  14. It was Catfish Hunter "Late pitcher Jim 'Catfish' Hunter, for example, enjoyed so much success with the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees that he decided to be remembered with a blank cap bearing neither logo... "The Hall of Fame took over the decision-making process for choosing the cap after the 2001 elections and does so after consulting with the player, according to Hall spokesman Brad Horn."
  15. Heading to the neighbor's cabin in Shawano county tomorrow, and taking a cooler & tool box. I don't hunt, but go along to cook, play cards & fix-up the cabin. I'll let them get up before sunrise & sit in the woods for hours, and enjoy the rewards when they return - about every other year someone fills a bonus tag for my freezer. (And between how many co-workers normally take vacation that short week and the economic conditions in our industry, we're furloghed next week so gonna make it more than just a weekend visit this year.)
  16. What does that mean? Possible similar situation to Macha's mid-season quote about getting Gamel worked into the infield rotation, "It gets to be a jam. You're developing a guy, so do you put the pressure on him that he's going to be up there with guys on base all the time? ... In a way, I was put into a little bit of a 'zim-zam.' It's got me flummoxed."
  17. Already support our local Domino's as much as we can... sponsoring us to play a softball game in the Metrodome last month doesn't hurt http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/bd325d3d192bdba6cd150e91812da27917f8926.pjpg
  18. Close it with a segment of Hells Bells... highlighted with one where he makes King Albert look foolish whiffing at a patented change-up
  19. ESPN radio should have all the games - here's their schedule (with a link to the local affiliates)
  20. Ben Sheets has the team record with 264 in 2004. Maybe Gallardo's 204 were the best for someone under 25, or some other context like that... but a nice achievement nonetheless. Nice way to end the season - both the team sweeping the Cardinals, and Fielder & Braun making late pushes to earn some NL & team season milestones.
  21. 22. I'm not sure about the world, but considering this site has its own forum for Statistical Analysis, I'm not surprised by the responses in this thread... and although I've never posted in the Statistical Analysis forum, CBS Monday nights is about the only time I watch something other than sports http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
