  1. The Linebrink trade continues to look like a terrible mistake. To me, it's the worst trade in DM's Brewers career so far.
  2. Love the idea, and getting Jurrjens alone is good enough for me to trade Ned. I might even settle for less. The Braves are most welcome to have Yost, and I hope they do it really soon.
  3. I wouldn't trade Prince, LaPorta or Gamel for a 3 month rental of CC.
  4. I'm still keen to get Bedard and it sounds like we can get him for less. Hopefully a package of Bill Hall, Brad Nelson, Zack Jackson and Derek Miller could do it.
  5. I agree. To me, he's the logical / obvious choice to remove.
  6. Just want to say that in the first page of this thread (right when news of Branyan's callup just broke), I had said that Branyan should've been called up earlier. I wanted Branyan called up earlier because we were in desperate need of another power lefty bat back then.
  7. Or Prince for going after the runner, instead of tossing the ball to Yo for the out.
  8. We have our share of injuries too, our key injury being Yo in Wrigley Field indirectly caused by a Cubs player.
  9. Zambrano leaves game with shoulder tightness. That doesn't sound good...
  10. Totally agree, it took them way too long to call him up. The Muscle has been outstanding, his bat is a much needed artillery in the Brewers offense.
  11. The Yankees would have to make a great / tremendous trade offer to the Brewers for Sheets, not just decent. With the loss of Wang, they may need to add another ace to make the playoffs. Frankly, I'd love to see the Yankees fail to make the postseason.
  12. I'd try offering Prince + Hall for Bedard + Clement. The Mariners may be looking for Sexson's replacement and with an offense as bad as theirs, they might be interested in Prince as a cornerstone of their franchise.
  13. Very unfortunate for Chien-Ming Wang, I really like him but not his team. Btw, ? (Wang) literally means king in Chinese.
  14. I wonder if we can trade Weeks and Hall for Brian Roberts and Chris Tillman http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  15. ccbrew, what about West Ham? They have a good manager in Alan Curbishley, and the team he assembled is pretty good. Rumors are circulating that Eidur Gudjohnsen might be joining West Ham soon which would be great for them. West Ham has a 22 year old American international defender, Jonathan Spector. But sadly, Spector suffered a torn labrum recently while training with team USA and will miss the Olympics and part of the new EPL season. At 18, Spector was recruited by Man United out of Chicago, and he joined West Ham in 2006. I've watched Spector play for Man United and he was impressive just a little inexperience, I was surprised that they sold him. As for this Euro, think I will root for the underdog Holland in the toughest group C to win. But my head says that the winner will probably be one of the usual suspects, Italy or Germany. It'd be really nice to have a surpise / shocking winner like in 1992 (Denmark) or 2004 (Greece).
  16. Yost should be fired for being so stupid.
  17. Yeah, I agree that hitting Pujols was his worst managerial decision to date. It was certainly Unforgetable and Unforgivable to me.
  18. Wow, the Jake Odorizzi pick looks better and better with each day. Really hope he turns out to be our next Yo in terms of performance. He should be an exciting prospect to follow.
  19. According to the MiLB scouting report, Odorizzi has good stuff and command, and a smooth delivery. Edit: His fastball has very good movement, his curve is decent and his slider is rapidly improving.
  20. Please, please Twins, don't pick Meville next.
  21. Yeah, I'm hoping the Brewers draft Shooter Hunt at #35.
  22. 20 picks have passed and Tim Meville is still available, really hope he's still around at #32 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
