    Before the CC deal, I was thinking about missing the game b/c I have class. However, I will now be leaving halfway through class to make sure I'm there for the first pitch.

    I actually think most people are honest enough to use valid cards. They normally don't run my card until I close out my tab. Plenty of people drink so much they don't even remember to close out the tab. My friend is a bartender on North Ave and she says they have a stack of cards at bar close every night.

    most bars won't let you run a tab unless you leave your credit card...then they can still get their money if you bail.

    And at least we can sleep at night knowing we sent him to the AL where he can't really hurt us until the very end of the season.

    I woke up at 4AM this morning after staying up till 1:30, and my first thought was, "I wonder if we have CC yet?" Thank god I was able to get back to sleep. I agree with everyone that this needs to get done this weekend. I'd be so psyched to come back to Milwaukee on Monday and see CC pitch. I even went out and bought my first ever Brewers jersey today (a no-namer, but still)... so I can be an even better fan http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    Hey, the Rockies came back from a 13-4 deficit to win 18-17. It's a crazy night in baseball land, and I think a CC deal would be a perfect night cap.

    I never really was that into following trades in the past....can they be announced at all hours of the night? A certain amount of time after games are over? Just wondering if there's any reason to keep checking tonight or if I should just call it a day.

    I'm really allergic to dogs, but I figured if I went out to eat outside and a friend took her dog, I'd be ok. Apparently not...my eyes are on fire. It kinda sucks that I'm allergic to everything. Another thought....why go out for Mexican when you want to go running later? Maybe my stomach will settle in the next 30 minutes...

    I can mostly agree with that sentiment. But I do find it a little funny to hear this coming from someone with the screen name ewizabeff touche. Although it was a kid that said it that way, not an adult.

    I stand corrected. I did not know Nuk was a brand name. My brother and his wife call it a ninny though, and I have to assume that's baby talk. In case you can't tell, I don't have an ounce of motherly instinct in my body yet. We made it through nap time (or should I say "afternoon sleep time" for those really advanced non-parents Nap is not a made up term.

    I was thinking the same thing when I first read this thread. Everyone seems to have their own name for a pacifier. I for one, if I ever have kids, hope someone slaps me if I start making up nonsense words for baby items. No disrespect to those of you that call it a "nuk" or a "ninny" or whatever -both of my brothers do- I just want to throw up whenever I hear full-grown adults switch into baby-talk.

    I had great luck using Craigslist, although I had a friend in Manhattan that could pick them up for me. I also noticed a decent amount of tickets for sale outside the stadium, and they really weren't that much over face. There's a guy that hangs out at the door in the bar & grill across the street from the stadium (the one with the bowling alley). If you ask at the bar about tickets, they'll probably hook you up.
