  1. Hi Adam. Do you have anything lined up for after graduation? There are still some agencies hiring for paid summer internships that might be a good bridge position -- something in your field that pays while you're looking for your first full-time gig. Bader Rutter (where SgtClueLs works) still has a paid PR internship posted - http://www.baderrutter.com/careers.html And I'm sure you're well aware, but Big Shoes Network has a lot of the agency postings in the area (full-time and internships). Good luck! Congratulations on finishing up!
  2. I don't think they had the sponsorship for very long. The stadium club passes and membership card in the season ticket package we got today are unbranded. Looks like they knew they lost the NYCE sponsorship and didn't know who would be replacing it.
  3. Our full-season package came today, as did our incentive (concession vouchers & an order form for diamond box tickets). Make sure you read your season seat holder handbook - there are extra passes inside for 6 special days of early entry for batting practice.
  4. I haven't been on the board in a long time. Wow. In my experience, Fridays is rarely busy during the winter months, even on weekends. Shouldn't be a problem to just grab a few tables, and they should be willing to do separate checks. The food is *meh* because it's Friday's, but no one will get lost Poonix and I aren't likely to make it. We're having our season ticket draft on the 9th and the 2nd is moving weekend.
  5. 2 seats in the last section of loge infield box (210 or 227, starting in row 6) for buy one get one free (at face value price for standard games). You still get all the benefits of the "regular" SSHs, and a playoff strip for each seat. So, we have two seats that cost us $20 each per game, a minimum of 50% off. Our seats retail for $40 each for blue games, $48 each for gold games, and $55 each for marquee games. I'm not sure if this is still available to new SSH (we bought this package 2 or 3 years ago as an upgrade to our Terrace Ticket Treat package). They don't advertise it much, but I bet they'd sell it if you called a rep.
  6. No one's mentioned the return of the great perks. For full season SSH, pay by Nov 16 and you'll get early admission to Brewers batting practice for 6 games, 2 field diamond box tickets, 2 On Deck tickets, and your choice of $70 in concession vouchers per seat or a chance to meet Ryan Braun and get an autographed batting practice jersey.
  7. Not to brag, but the loge level double play package didn't go up at all. Best deal in the ballpark, folks.
  8. I also just spoke with my ticket rep. He said everything (extra single-seat sales to SSH, public sales, any additional tickets available for SSH) is going to be on an accelerated schedule, and he won't even know if there are extra tickets to offer me (which I've gotten during the 2008 and 2011 post seasons) until the end of next week.
  9. whoops. I skimmed the threads and didn't see this. mods, feel free to delete this thread.
  10. Really, no one has posted about this yet? I got an email at 2:30 informing me that my postseason invoice was being mailed today and it's due by September 24. Yup, that's next week Monday. I logged into my account to see what I owe, and it's not even posted yet. Keep hope alive.
  11. I love Bacchus. Ordering off the regular menu might put you over $100 quickly, but they always have a 3-course prix fix menu that's about $40. It's a fancy restaurant in the Cudahy tower (right on the lake) that's frequented by old rich guys. The food is pretty awesome, though. Sanford is also over-the-top nice. They also have a $49 "exploration menu" that saves you some money. Best food I've ever had.
  12. Opening Day was the same old junk for me on AT&T - no data.
  13. The stairs going to the loge level from the home plate entrance are now covered with the Southwest Air sponsorship.
  14. I never used a style guide in my work in Marketing/PR. My most recent hire is a former journalist, so now we go by AP....but he still has to correct my writing all the time.
  15. Are you in the Milwaukee area? There are plenty of masters and superintendent programs in the area that would let you sit in on a class. I could put you in touch with plenty of administrators I've had classes with if you'd like to chat with them.
  16. We landed in the Milwaukee airport at 9:30PM, severely jet lagged. I was in bed by 10:15, although I think SgtClueLs stayed up till midnight on the couch. I don't think we even wished each other a happy new year.
  17. We brought some larger plastic chairs once. I went into the game before the rest of our tailgate, and my parents (stupidly) let them sit out, thinking they were "too big" to steal. yeah, they definitely got stolen. 1st row, Giants (Molitor) lot.
  18. It's a decent baseball movie. Definitely doesn't touch on the statistics, just that they're doing things "differently." I think it's a good bridge between a hardcore baseball flick and a drama - makes it accessible to everyone.
  19. I talked to my ticket rep this week. He said they reserve the right to charge for WS tickets on the last day of the season, but in reality they probably won't do it until we've won 2 playoff games. It's a pain for them to charge for no reason, so they wait until there's a reasonable chance they need to collect the money.
  20. Almost all of the women I hang out with could name most of the brewers players, explain a play, obscure rules, and score a game. And I don't really hang out with Tristar's friends http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Especially in Wisconsin, I think there's less of a gender bias when it comes to both baseball and football. Unrelated - there's nothing more annoying than when I sit down at a game with my scorebook, and some yahoo offers to teach me to keep score. If I have a scorebook (with many completed pages) I already know how, thanks. Oddly enough, this hasn't happened since I had a ring on my finger.
  21. So sad I missed this thread at the beginning. Teehee. And for the record - I'm a female, and I met my husband on BrewerFan. I believe he was impressed that I had full season tickets. Or, maybe he just wanted my ticket seniority and it's all going to end now that he's on the account. The "women of BrewerFan" included an out-of-state fan as well. All I remember is the taco dip.
  22. With zero experience, I think of Cricket in the same regard as check advance companies, based on where they advertise.
  23. That's to be expected. Also, now when we buy beer we buy much more expensive stuff so we can try what we haven't had before. Psst....SgtClueLs won 2 blue ribbons at the State Fair home brewing competition http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
