    I don't understand how "he just needs consistent playing time" is a valid argument for Gross's production. The fact is, he was never going to get consistent playing time with the Brewers, so what mattered was how he performed in the role we had available - backup OF and PH. From what I've seen of his stats, he doesn't do well in that role. It will be better for him to go somewhere where he has a chance to start everyday. Peace out Gabe. Enjoy the warm weather.

    I wouldn't hold my breath to see women in MLB, simply because of the lack of baseball opportunities women have growing up. I played baseball "with the boys" until I was in seventh grade. Then you had to start trying out for the team and they basically told me not to even bother. Granted, I wasn't a phenomenal athlete, but I bet I was better than some of the worse guys that made it. That being said, women wouldn't be able to play high school baseball because there's a women's equivalent (softball) at most schools, and they'd have an awfully hard time breaking into the competitive little league teams, so where would they have a chance to showcase their talents for scouts? If women are looking to get involved with baseball, I would think management/front office would be the path to pursue.

    Shots are over $6....might as well buy a beer! Get a Uecker seat - available for $1 90 minutes before each game...then find a good spot to stand or sit on the tables in the right field loge level. Ask businesses you have a good relationship if they get free tickets for customers - we always get some great seats from M&I bank b/c my parents have all their investments there. If you come in from the East Side, ride the bus. Super convenient, and cheap - especially if you're a student with a free bus pass.

    Since last night's get together was such a glorious success (what I can remember of it anyway), we've set a date for Part 2. Friday, May 16. Same time, same place. Try to make it out if you didn't last night!
