  1. Yes. I'm so bored I'm on page 16 of the threads. That being said, I wish I had your motivation! I dug up a 300 square foot (ish) horseshoe in front of my house last year intending to plant some flowers. I think I started killing the grass on memorial day weekend. I didn't get all of the grass out until labor day. It's still an empty pile of dirt today. Here's hoping for flowers this spring....but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
  2. I'm pretty sure everyone that can handle going to games alone is awesome.
  3. Yeah...remember the good old days (2007) when they were only $6? I have enough plastic helmets for a small army in my kitchen...
  4. I've gone alone a couple times. I usually brought a scorecard so I had something to focus my attention on. It's not too hard to strike up a conversation with people sitting beside you, but I was usually content to just mark my scorecard. These are the games where I'll keep track of pitch counts and all that dorky stuff. I once heard one of my student employees tell me "Liz, you're cool because you go to baseball games alone." Take that for what it's worth.
  5. Last year's was "Here We Go Again" by OK Go. I kinda like the new one though.
  6. Prince's song is Tell Me When To Go by E-40. I really appreciate the new US Cellular at-bat song trivia game - it helps me pick up the names of songs I don't know.
  7. Hopefully getting some homework done and maybe even some grocery shopping. Stupid grad school. Stupid life responsibilities. I just want to retire and watch baseball everyday.
  8. i believe Kendall's is a Rob Zombie song. They finally got to the "lyrics" (which i only understand to be screaming) today. Hart's new one is International Harvester by Craig Morgan. It was a rap song for the exhibition games. Now it's about a tractor
  9. Yes, there are still live albums. My favorite musician, Jason Mraz, has released 2 in the last 5 years. If you're looking at pop artists - no, probably not. But singer-songwriters have enough performance variations (and enough obscure, unreleased songs) to make live albums attractive.
  10. Ah yes. Berry Weiss is my breakfast beer for 12:05 games.
  11. I only had the game on in the background and wasn't paying that much attention - but every time I looked up it seemed like someone (from both teams) was making a throwing error to first.
  12. With Time Warner you should be able to get Road Runner for $30 or $35 for the first year, then the jack it up to $40 I think. And make sure they ask if they have any special offers. Reps won't always just volunteer that information. My uncle always calls up and threatens to switch to Dish Network and they somehow find a way to lower his rate.
  13. I used to take candy cigarettes to little league!
  14. Just try to get them to package it with a service they already have, whether it's phone or cable. I prefer cable internet - seems to be faster. That's probably the cheapest way to go.
  15. It's nice to know that when I go to a Brewers game I have at one thing going for me with the guys...my clothes. Yahoo! As I got ready for bed, I was reminded of a GREAT women's brewers item - the polka dot pajama pants they had last year. I picked up a pair at the "rummage sale" they had in the winter and they're so comfy. The only time I will wear polka dots is if there's a brewers logo somewhere as well.
  16. After a great weekend at Miller Park, I'm reminded of all the great things that come along with baseball season. What things, people, places, etc do you associate with baseball? Mine: Licorice Cheese Fries in a Helmet Soft serve ice cream (twist only, please) Grill-out smell Parking passes Text messages (my usage probably triples during baseball season) My dad And, of course....attractive men.
  17. I saw that, but at the game and not on TV. He was probably in section 419 or so. Thanks for the context info - I just assumed he was crazy, and thought it was funny that he almost perfectly matched the neon yellow that the vendors are wearing this year.
  18. I really need to cool it with the cheese fries in a helmet, or my jeans are going to be very angry with me. Maybe I need to switch to Boca Burgers. Also, Ryan Cabrera has a new look....and I really don't like it..
  19. I think big cities need to have well-developed, population-dense "downtowns." From the few days I've spent in Phoenix and Las Vegas, I didn't get that feel. I do, however, like Milwaukee (although there's lots of room for development), NYC, Boston, and DC.
  20. I'd keep looking in the Fan Zone, b/c I've found that the only good, cute stuff I can get is sold out by the end of May. You can ask the staff if they'll be getting any new styles in - they've usually been pretty helpful when I've asked (like when they warned me that the cool camo/pink hat would be gone forever in May and I didn't believe them). Also, sometimes some medium or small men's shirts fit alright. Just wash them in warm water. The only place I've bought Brewers stuff is the Fan Zone or the store at Maryvale. The stuff at Kohls is pretty crappy. I've been told to try Champs and Footlocker though, just haven't made it there yet. Has anyone ever bought a women's jersey? They only carry them online, and I'm a bit hesitant to spend that kind of money without being able to try one on.
  21. Really enjoyed this game. Not many people left early, which is great when we're up by 7 runs. I love this team.
  22. What's the fun in being a fan if you can't be crazy excited when your team gets off to a great start? I have friends (well, cubs fans) that don't pay attention to anything in April or May because "it's too early." Well, IMHO, that's a great way to miss out on 1/3 of a great season as a fan. Whether we win April 6 or September 6, it's still another hash mark in the W column. And with that, I'm off to the game!
  23. Now, the probably varies a lot from the 20-game packs (which I've never purchased) but when I got my Terrace Treat package (I'm a cheapskate) I specifically asked my ticket rep what seats were available, and then confirmed the location over the phone. Does anyone else do that?
  24. Excited for this game, just like every other game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Now, if only my friends that are going with me would get their act together so I could have some coordinated plans, that would be great. We should probably see Turnbow at some point today, right?
