  1. This is probably what Nats fans thought yesterday when they saw Estrada pitching and the lineup Strasburg was facing
  2. great half inning for the crew. you do have to wonder if there is a place where Lynn could locate his first pitch to Gomez that wouldn't cause Carlos to offer at it. First pitch of the game nearly hit him and he swung, and then he threw one about 3 feet wide of the plate in that last at-bat and Carlos swung again.
  3. Sophia and Augustine need to go....Sophia for her robotic tone and lack of any enthusiasm and Augustine for being useless and terrible on camera.
  4. yeah this game was a comedy of mental errors. in addition to what you already mentioned, i believe they fouled Providence 3 times during a 3pt attempt, leading to 2 four point plays. Have no idea what Thomas was doing, and that foul on the inbounds pass was pathetic.
  5. The fact is that no batter can always put the bat on the ball, which is something most managers consider when deciding not to obsessively call for sueeze after squeeze. Which has worked a ton for him? It works a good amount out of the time, but these squeeze plays always limit our opportunities to put multiple runs on the board. RRR is overly concerned with scoring one run at the expense of multiple run innings.
  6. Still can't get over that terrible squeeze call with Segura and Braun to hit. Hopefully the middle of the order can get one (or more) this inning
  7. Dodgers take a 3-1 lead! Let's hope they can finish this off.
  8. I was in total agreement with you about just paying $80 bucks for a good one, but the jerseys being sold on those sites are "authentic", meaning that it would cost $200-$250 to get the real ones. For instance, i ordered some cool base jerseys. They are really nice when it is warm out, and althought the font is not 100% identical (but very close), it only cost me $25 bucks which is insane to me.
  9. Narveson sliced his hand repairing his glove and will miss his next start. Per Ron at post game news conference. That is not good.
  10. yeah I noticed Escobra and the immortal #52 Egan jerseys on there lol. I've probably been lucky so far, but the handful of jerseys that me and my friends have ordered have all been very nice.
  11. Whether it turns out really well or not, it is nice to have a local brewery so committed to trying new things. I can't wait for the black IPA. As for belgians, are there any U.S. breweries you recommend that do this style well? I tend to stick with Wittekerke, Duvel, etc.
  12. The sites I've used are: googlejerseysshop.net and pickjerseys there are definitely mistakes on some of the jerseys on the website ( I think that one of the grey Brewers jersey has the state patch on it) but the ones I've gotten I'd rate as 98% quality. The cool base jerseys I ordered on googlejerseys have a really nice material. I guess it is a question of whether you want to pay a lot of money for one guaranteed to be the REAL deal, or if you don't mind it not being perfect. The Braun jersey I have does look pretty much identical to those in the store at least.
  13. The New Glarus fall schedule looks insane! Chocolate Abbey, Black IPA, Cyrstal Weizen not to mention Apple Ale and their wonderful Oktoberfest.
  14. Has anyone else here ordered MLB jerseys from websites based in China? I have ordered a handful from a few sites, and the deals are incredible, but I'm sure the legality of it may be questionable. for instance, I bought a handful of authentic jerseys on one site and they ended up only being $28 a piece including shipping. I wore my Braun one into the Brewers clubhouse, and I couldn't even tell the difference between the one I had and the ones that were retailing for $200. The jersey I got was embroidered with the proper patches and everything. They even have cool base ones which seem to be made from the proper material. (the cool base authentic ones are being sold for $300 on the brewers website) I'm not sure if I should post the website here or not, certainly I'm not trying to spam, I just wanted to see if anyone else here has had similar experiences. If it is ok though I'd be glad to include the website info.
  15. Plenty of games left against the Cardinals, a team that takes offense to everything
  16. was thinking the same thing. maybe he'll turn his bow and arrow on La Russa
  17. We easily could have lost Friday and Sunday too. Not that i wouldn't have taken the extra win http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  18. I'm not a huge fan of 1250 AM, but I thought it was great this morning when they were compiling information on this lady and calling her out. I guess she had to disable her facebook/twitter accounts or something from the backlash.
  19. It's really sad we've gotten to the point where we have to think this way. I think it was a cool promotion. But unfortunately what you said has some merit. The promotions team will just have to continue to look for different ways they can have cool giveaways without people exploiting them. People can be really disgusting sometimes
  20. i'm with you rockco. People who are embarassingly cheap or act without concern for others anger me to no end. Every bobblehead game I attend, I see a handful of middle aged people running around looking for dropped/misplaced bobbleheads or asking people to give them theirs. A lot of people actually just show up to get their bobbleheads and don't even go to the game. I'm almost embarassed for them. As far as these lawn ornaments go, I'm glad that that one girl who posted her pictures with a trunkful is getting ripped publically for being so thoughtless. I'd like to think she learned her lesson.
  21. what a puzzling decision there with betancourt. and by puzzling i mean terrible.
  22. hopefully the murderer's row bottom of our lineup can push a run across
  23. I work at a bank and process loans. You can get a real good idea of what your loan rate would be without getting your credit run if you talk to your banker. Usually there is a listed rate, and it can be adjusted a quarter point or half point depending on credit score and the percentage put down, etc. Also, these days a lot of times the dealers have really low rates if you qualify through them. Let me know if you have any other questions
  24. I think she sometimes comes across a little full of herself, but nothing too extreme. As for her performances on the D-List, they were mostly bad, but she might be dragged down by the ineptitude she was working with. It is painful always listening to Olson trying to make a dumb Needles joke seem really funny, and this is coming from someone who likes him better than his partner. It used to almost make me mad that they were doing a job that I would really like to do and were so bad at it. The free food comment is spot on by the way. I haven't listened to that show much in the past 6 months thankfully. As for Trenni, I wish her luck and it will be nice hearing a new voice. I hope that she has some good help, because I think it would be difficult for anyone taking a job where they would be responsible for so much material on their own.
