  1. corey hart has zero chance against harden. counsell at least gave himself a chance that at-bat. Very disappointing to not take advantage of Harden there.
  2. well said hey last time we had this matchup they pounded us now maybe we can return the favor http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. You just hope Bush keeps us in it and maybe we can squeak out a 3-2 win or something.
  4. yeah I don't have the new HD channels yet either.
  5. As long as I'm near a mute button, I agree
  6. food network is awesome, as long as it doesn't involve Giada overpronouncing words and looking ridiculous as she tastes her food.
  7. After a few weeks when we wanted Ned to make many pinch hitting moves that he never did, it would be funny if Sveum went all "larussa" on us and started making a lot of moves.
  8. some real choke artistry going on right now. can't anybody get a hit?
  9. does anyone ask Ned about his pinch hitting choices in the post game? I'm starting to think this team might not make it
  10. i will say this..with the terrible at-bats, baserunning, and defense, we have done everything we can so far to lose this game.
  11. alright over/under on how many gagne gives up here.
  12. Besides the debacle at Absolute Poker, I have confidence that the other sites are legitimate. They have so much to lose that doing anything shady is not worth the risk to them. Especially in your above situation which is a sit and go. You already paid your rake before you started the tournament, so the site has no reason to manipulate the cards to give one person an advantage. I remember when partypoker first became popular, and a lot of people were convinced that there were too many good hands being dealt at the cash tables. Although I don't think this is true at all, this is something that would benefit the site, because good hands being dealt at the cash table would mean bigger pots, which would lead to higher rakes.
  13. billy loves this town so much he asked for a ticket out of here
  14. It seems to me that Ned, Gagne, Riske, and Prince are all getting blamed for the recent losing streak. This thread is specifically about Fielder, so people are obviously going to post things about him on here, but the majority of posts say things like "he's been a big part of the recent struggles", which is pretty accurate, and not things like "Fielder is the main reason we aren't going to the playoffs, etc" BTW, I agree 100% with how it is easier to blame one person, and also that this board (including myself) can get carried away with piling on somebody when he's in a slump. However, I think that right now people are doing a fairly good job in spreading the blame around for the recent crappy performances. Hopefully, we'll start playing playing better than we can have more threads about possible playoff scenarios http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. did anyone ask ned in the post game why he didn't pinch hit anyone?
  16. Every time Gagne goes through a period where he is blowing games, the Brewers announce that he has made some huge donation to a local charity. At least it seems that way
  17. He might end up hitting under .250 if he doesn't turn this around. Not only did he lose a lot of money in potential arbitration money, but if he doesn't drop some of that weight and start playing better, that contract he turned down is going to look a lot better to him.
  18. I'm an absolute baseball nut, but if the Brewers don't make it, I won't be able to watch the playoffs this year. Plus, I might not make it out to 30-35 games either. Not that I'll love the Brewers any less, I just might be mentally exhausted. When they lost 100 games I went to 40 that year, but those losses didn't really hurt at all. Hopefully I won't have to worry about this predicament. However, they better find a way to get going again.
  19. since I have very good seats I'm going to the Brewer game, and I'm going to try and not know what's going on in the Packer game which I'm recording. We'll see if I can pull this off (but I doubt it)
  20. time to become the world's biggest johan santana fan tonight
  21. lol thank god i didn't go to this game. at least the nfl is entertaining me today.
  22. wow riske and gagne are doing their best to keep us out of the playoffs. I know the homerun right there probably doesn't matter, but Riske has been as bad as Gagne lately. Or worse.
  23. now we have to score as many runs in the next 6 1/2 innings as we have in the first 31.
  24. Man these September games are hard to watch when your team plays like crap against the Padres
