  1. I was hoping to get to this series but I don't think I'll be able to. I found this helpful thread: http://www.mccoveychronicles.com/2007/6/27/141329/630#1190965 I've sat in the LF bleachers a few times. IMO the only seats to avoid are 3B/LF side upper level. Definitely take a stroll all around the park whenever you end up sitting.
  2. He'll be at Jeff's until 11, then would have time to get to the block party after that.
  3. I haven't seen anything either. I keep checking here: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/fan_forum/blockparty.jsp
  4. I'll be there with 3 out-of-town buddies on our annual EpicBrewersFest outing. Incredible timing.
  5. Just got this from Jeff's: Jeff's Sports is proud to announce that Milwaukee Brewer, Russell Branyan will be at Jeff's Sports - New Mayfair Mall location for an autograph session. Russell will be signing on Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Who: RUSSELL BRANYAN When: Saturday July 12, 2008. Russell will sign from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Where: Jeff's Sports new Mayfair Mall Location - 2500 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53226. Jeff's Sports is located on the lower level near the center entrance, below the food court. What: Autograph tickets are $15.00 per autograph for any item. Tickets can be order by phone, or can be purchased at any location of Jeff's Sports. Come be part of the Milwaukee Brewers excitement at Jeff's Sports! ----- That happens to be the same day as the next block party.
  6. jwill, trwi, I'm not as down on Hibbert and I could see Skiles liking him. But moreso I'm underwhelmed with the other draft options. I would rather see the pick packaged in a deal, but that seems unlikely.
  7. Just brainstorming, but I think drafting Roy Hibbert and sliding Bogut to PF would be a huge improvement, especially defensively. Could even trade down several slots to get Hibbert. That would free up CV / Yi as trade bait (not that they aren't already) to address the other three spots.
  8. This is pretty random, but due to a mix-up I have an extra preferred parking pass for Wed July 9 vs Colorado. If you could use it, just send me a SASE... and feel free to include something fun, like, oh I don't know, a Russell Branyan baseball card.
  9. I went to Alcott Park and there were a lot of people, definitely way more than 100. I arrived around 11 and the lines for Sheets and Kendall were already really long. I got into a shorter line for Dave Bush. I didn't stay the whole time but I can't imagine everyone in line for Sheets and Kendall got autos. Nice time, though.
  10. Tell them I'll take any they're 'stuck with' off their hands (at wholesale, not retail). I'm in on the badgering.
  11. 12. As for logos... http://www.logoserver.com/Baseball.html http://www.sportslogos.net/sport.php?id=2 and obvious but you can search for individual teams, etc on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
  13. John Livingston a method is love http://8478916399760417992-a-1802744773732722657-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/nwkayak/Home/2556750604_cca668582c_m.jpg?attredirects=0
  14. This is a sweet picture, but it's on a sticker card. If you bought that, maybe a scan of it would work?
  15. I'm curious -- what was the scene like in Beloit Sunday? How early were you there to get the last 5 spots? I'm imagining a madhouse.
  16. I sat in the Club section last night for the first time (thanks to Hall4President's generous giveaway) and there was audio in the restroom. Alas, I didn't do the nachos.
  17. Thanks a ton Hall4Pres, I had a great time at the game last night. I had never sat in the Club level before -- it really is nice. Good food, no lines for anything. I was able to snap a picture of Braun's home run (actually the ball is just leaving Randy Johnson's hand)... http://8478916399760417992-a-1802744773732722657-s-sites.googlegroups.com/site/nwkayak/Home/Braun_RJ_060308-web.jpg?attredirects=0 I will definitely pay forward this great gesture.
  18. H4P, I can't thank you enough. I have so much respect for you (and Pedro) for doing this. I will definitely find a way to do something similar myself.
  19. Very cool, I would love to go. Count me in -- thanks!
  20. That's correct. Here's a link to the Ballpark Guide, where all policies are listed. I'm pretty sure that even if a child doesn't need a ticket to get in, they still receive all fan giveaways, kids 16 and under giveaways, etc.
  21. I sent you a PM
  22. I was just going through some stuff at my parents and came across a dozen or so older pennants in great shape. I'll grab them next weekend and shoot you a PM.
  23. For anyone planning to go to a Sounds game this year, I just found discounted Sounds tickets (vouchers), $8 per... save a couple bucks for a good cause. Link
  24. We splurged on the buffet last Sunday, and it was impressive. It was brunch, with an omelet station, many other good breakfast options, pastries... really a nice spread. They also had some lunch options too - carved ham and turkey and 5 different salads and a lot more. As they explained it, it's a different buffet depending on the game time, and the featured options change, too. We got the first reservation time available, an hour and a half before the game, so we got to watch the end of batting practice, and were in our seats by the end of the 1st inning. We requested a window table which was nice, but the way it's arranged, all tables have a great view. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was $30 or $35 per person. I love tailgating, but once a year this is fun for us to do.
  25. I'd love to go to this Miller vs Bud matchup. Thanks, Pedro!
