  1. I'll definitely vouch for Ross as well. He did a great job on shirts for our family reunion.
  2. I'm looking for a SGA High Life camo hat from tomorrow's game. I don't have much to trade, but if anyone ends up with an extra please PM me and we can work something out. Thanks.
  3. I have two tickets I can't use for Thurs Sept 23 vs Florida -- Loge Outfield sec 230 row 5. I'd trade them for any TWO of the following 2010 bobbleheads: Italian Sausage, Robin Yount, Cecil Cooper, Hank Aaron. I would need to do the trade via mail, I'm traveling non-stop this month. If you're interested please PM me.
  4. I'm going to Blitzen Trapper tonight at Turner Hall. I don't know their new album but I really like their previous stuff. I've never been to Turner Hall, either, looking forward to it.
  5. Thought I'd rekindle this thread to report. I started the 'Lean' version of P90X on Feb 1 and finished yesterday. I lost 18 pounds and feel incredible. I didn't do all of the measurements prior to starting other than stepping on the scale, but I've 'gained' 2 whole notches on my belt. I've been getting a lot of compliments. I decided to start with the lean version as it seemed slightly less intense. I wanted to shed some weight and I wanted to finish the program, not get burned out and quit halfway through. The eating part wasn't too difficult for me. I followed their guidelines fairly strictly at first, but it really wasn't that different than what my wife and I already try to do (she's a registered dietitian so that helps). But I did eat better throughout -- no soda, pizza only twice, drastically less chips and mindful of portion sizes. I drank less beer and only on weekends (or at Brewer games). The most difficult aspect for me was the time commitment. A lot of nights I wouldn't start working out until 9 or later which was tough, but I plowed through. I printed out a calendar just for this and x'ing off each day in blue sharpie was so fun. It's amazing to think back to when I started, and how I couldn't get through all of the workouts, whereas at the end I felt strong pretty much throughout. I'm able to get through everything on Ab Ripper which made me want to puke the first month. Saturday I helped my Grandma move and everyone else was dropping like flies, I was going strong all day and came home and did Yoga X. Now of course I have to keep the momentum going. I'm pretty active in the summer with biking, tennis, and jogging, but I'll definitely mix in a few of these workouts each week. Then I'd like to start the classic version of this in late summer or fall. And continue to eat smart. Just wanted to give some encouragement to anyone that might be doing it, or thinking about it. Thanks for letting me brag a little :-)
  6. I checked last night, they're $75 at Miller Park. Pretty steep.
  7. twobrewers, I ran a marathon 10 years ago but that was the extent of my competitive running. I run for cross training now or just a casual jog with my wife along the lake, 5-7 miles tops. I would guess this style of running is a little bit slower for me, but I wasn't fast to begin with! I think for me I was able to switch to this because I wasn't training for a race or anything - I took my time with it. I would run a mile or less at first trying this out, for awhile actually, because it does strain your calves and shins. Before too long it feels comfortable but you have to take it really slow at first.
  8. I used to run more than I do now, but several years ago I randomly read an article on the Tarahumara indians in Mexico who run with minimal sandles. I decided to give it a try and have run with Nike Free shoes ever since. But you have to completely change your running style. As homer alludes to, my heels never hit the ground and I take shorter strides. Sure it was a little awkward at first but it felt natural fairly quickly. I love it, much less jarring. NY Times article
  9. I have an 07 magnet you can have, I'll email you.
  10. Thanks for putting this together. Not sure why there are blank walls on the back of them. CC will look great next to last year's Braun. I'll have an extra Bernie and probably others, we could work something out I'm sure.
  11. Just caught up on your recent posts. You're a great storyteller -- Bucci, how you met Ford/Cain/Brantley, baseball card deals, all great reads. I really respect how hard you work and how honest you are.
  12. This is disappointing, I was hoping for Milwaukee on the greys for so long and all the rumors got my hopes up. An alternate for both home and away seems overboard.
  13. My personal spring training involves getting my collection in order and I have several extra bobbleheads that need new homes. I only have a few things I'm looking for in trade, listed below. I'm in Racine but would be willing to meet in the Milwaukee area (I'm most likely going to the Gonzaga card show this Sunday). Otherwise a few extra bucks for shipping. I'd much rather wheel and deal with you guys than eBay! 14. What a great, great interview, thanks. I miss Big Seth. It's mind boggling that Macha couldn't see the value he brings as a pitcher and teammate. How could you not want someone like that on the team? How could you not 'get' him?
  15. Pretty sure I'll have an extra from the Apr 11 game, whatever that bobble ends up being. I'd trade it for CC.
  16. I thought it was better organized this year. It was nice that it was double the size, and it was clear how to get in lines for guys signing later. I got there around 6:30 and ended up being 80th in line for Yount.
  17. The coaches don't have dedicated auto sessions, but they'll be milling around before their Q and As or whatever and sign then, at least they did last year.
  18. Schedule has been posted, with some TBDs. Seems like it will be crazy not having all the big names in the first sessions. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mil/fan_forum/brewers_on_deck.jsp My head hurts trying to figure this out. None of the sessions are free, and the alumni besides Yount aren't signing.
  19. This all sounds pretty cool to me. I like that there won't be any alternate versions of these bobbles. I think that leaves Sun Apr 11 and Sun Aug 8 as the only unknown all fan giveaways.
  20. Congrats on your niece/nephew. Perhaps baby's first bobblehead :-) I second colbyjack, we had people bring us a pan of lasagna, bagels and cream cheese, etc. It is incredibly nice not to have to worry about a few meals.
  21. I have a Sony reader. I use Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ as a content management tool, and it allows you to download newspaper and magazine content too, for free. http://www.mobileread.com/ is a good forum for ebook news, etc.
  22. Yeah, thanks. I was wondering if that might be the case. I've had good luck in the past but understand the risks. Got something brewing on CL so I'll pursue that.
  23. Anyone that's been going to games, I'm curious what the scalping situation is like this season. I might head to tomorrow night's game solo. I assume I'd have no problem finding a decent cheap ticket, but I checked stubhub and craigslist a few times this week and it seems different than years past -less available.
  24. From Rattler Radio: Holiday merchandise will include new Christmas ornaments and bobbleheads. Some will be on the Web site, www.timberrattlers.com, but the full selection will be available in the store, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the stadium, 2400 N. Casaloma Drive, Grand Chute. After Thanksgiving, that extends to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. In addition to clothing and merchandise, holiday gift packages will be available by mid-November. The $40 gift includes four ticket vouchers and a hat. The $80 gift includes eight ticket vouchers and one of four new player bobbleheads. "We're calling it the rehab bobblehead series," said Aaron Hahn, assistant general manager. "The choices are Dave Bush, Jeff Suppan, Taylor Green and Lorenzo Cain. All four played here this past season."
  25. I just called and asked about the promo schedule. The person I spoke with had a preliminary schedule with him and told me there are only two bobblehead games: Feb 6 - Brandon Jennings Apr 7 - Bango He said more could be added but he didn't know, and thought it would be posted on the website soon, when things are 'finalized'. It seems pretty late to be finalizing that stuff.
