  1. At the very least, it allowed me to pour a new drink.
  2. If they come out after half and score 7, I think they still win. Go Pack Go!
  3. I bet Minnesota wouldn’t even mind another shot at us.
  4. For a guy his size he has weak hands. If he isn't dropping passes he is putting it on the ground. He apparently is an excellent pass blocker, which is why he’s on the field so often. Honestly, I don’t care anymore. I’ve been defending this team for 10 years.
  5. Saints 35-0 ... they probably practiced on Christmas (half joking).
  6. I totally missed the completion to Adams because of their whacky camera angle. That’s a huge pet peeve of mine.
  7. No kidding. You wonder how badly they miss Williams and Vitale (their two best pass blocking backs). Not that injuries are an excuse. This team has been among the healthiest all year.
  8. Yeah, something like this.
  9. Absolutely need 7 before half.
  10. I thought that call on Alexander was BS. You’ve gotta finish your tackles or pro WRs will get away from you. The whistle was not blown until Amendola was in the air and Jaire did not put any weight on the receiver on the way down. If the league wants to avoid that, blow the whistle when his forward progress is stopped.
  11. For professional athletes? Nah. It was actually 2 fewer days because of MNF. Agreed, it’s still on the players to perform, but that’s not nothing.
  12. I’m pretty sure the Saints practiced on Christmas. 21-0.
  13. And the players need to earn their side of the trust coin too and understand the importance of this game and know that if they're going to ask for that extra day off, it had better not affect their preparation for this game. And they're not keeping their end of that bargain so far. Exactly. I’d be shocked if the coaching staff didn’t work on Christmas.
  14. You can beat the "shouldn't have been off on Christmas" thing to death if you want, but missing one day of practice isn't an excuse for this showing so far. They've just come out flat. Looks a lot like the San Diego game. Gotta pick things up quick, or they'll be in trouble. Exactly. It’s on the players to show up.
  15. It sounds like the extra day off was something the players asked for via their leadership committee. If you’re a manager and your direct reports ask for something that’s important to them, you’ve gotta do what you can to accommodate (provided they’ve been performing well). Professional relationships are built on trust.
  16. Dropped passes, inaccurate throws, penalties....all signs of a team that isn't ready to play. Maybe they'll turn it around, but I think MLF got caught up in the moment during the post game celebration on Monday giving the team Wednesday off. A two practice week isn't ideal when you're playing for a first round bye. In fairness to the Packers, the short week and holiday certainly don’t help.
  17. The Saints are not putzing around with an inferior division rival. 14-0 already.
  18. To think Tyler Ervin was released by a team with a losing record. Makes you wonder just how bad the Packers’ ST were before they claimed him.
  19. I can’t imagine that pain.
  20. Lucas Patrick signed a new 2-year deal for $3.6 million total. Part of his signing bonus will be absorbed into the 2019 cap. Seems like a fair deal.
  21. That effectively lowers his cap number for 2020 by spreading out the $14 million bonus evenly over 5 years (2019-2023). It’s nice they were able to make use of the remaining 2019 cap space. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did the same thing next year and kept pushing money out. If they can squeeze one championship out of this roster, they can go 0-16 in 2023 and you won’t hear me complain once.
  22. I thought this game was well-officiated ... either that or there just weren’t a whole lot of infractions. Either way, I like it when the refs let the players play.
  23. Snapper, I’m not delusional about Rodgers’ abilities in 2019, but you don’t win 12 games by accident. If anything, Jimmy G has a better Pro Bowl resume than the 3 guys you mentioned (Prescott, Cousins, and Wentz). Prescott has the best offense line and best running back in football and is sitting at 7 wins. Cousins lost to Rodgers twice. If I had to take one NFC QB to win a playoff game (not named Wilson or Brees), I’d take Rodgers. That’s 2019 Rodgers and it’s not even close. But I digress because the Pro Bowl is silly. Merry Christmas to you!
  24. Anyone catch the little snippet on MNF about Favre going 2-0 against the Packers in 2009? Notice how they leave out the part where Aaron Rodgers beat Favre twice in 2010 en route to a Super Bowl?
  25. I hope the schedule maker has a sense of humor and makes the Jaguars come to Green Bay in December next year after making the Packers playing at Jacksonville in Week 1 of 2016.
