  1. I think Evan Longoria = #1. I would put Braun probably around #5. My top 5 would be something like this: 1. Evan Longoria 2. Hanley Ramirez 3. Tim Lincecum 4. Joe Mauer 5. Ryan Bruan I don't think Justin Upton should be top 5. He is have a really nice year this season, and he is young, but Braun is only a couple of years older and 2 years more "proven" yet still VERY cheap. I think that filling out the top 10 would be some of the more established veterans like Pujols, Santana, etc. because their salaries are up there.
  2. My free time generally consists of (in no particular order) playing poker, video games, playing piano or guitar, cooking, reading, and watching the Brewers and/or Packers. I would like to exercise more but I despise running just to run. It's generally hard on my asthma and even with that aside I just don't get any enjoyment out of it. I like playing softball, baseball, football, bowling, and golfing. I would like to get a road bike and get into that. One of my buddies has one and I took it for a spin and was truly amazed at how effortless it felt and how fun it was.
  3. Unfortunately the Mets have about a dozen guys on the DL including Beltran, Reyes, and Delgado Your optimism is appreciated, though http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. I hate this type of game. For whatever reason, our guys can't seem to get hits against "strike-throwers". These are the Nick Blackburns and Joel Pinieros of the world who have average to slightly above average stuff and just throw a lot of strikes. The Brewers of current can't hit it.
  5. I actually wouldn't have minded that because he is on my fantasy team.
  6. Just pathetic. I really hate when this team goes into apathy mode after an inning like that.
  7. Way to come back with a strong inning there! 7 pitches http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  8. I was trying to type it while he was up, but I wasn't logged in: Why pitch to Pujols there? If it were me, I put him on in a heartbeat with 2nd base open and take my chances with Ludwick. Pujols is just way too good.
  9. Why leave Coffey in here? He pitched 2 yesterday, the team is probably not going to come back. Put someone else in there and let him rest.
  10. What a bunch of Rubes. Way to waste a great outing by Parra...
  11. Excuse my ignorance, but who is "The Maniac"?
  12. I know my mom just bought a cabin and got her mortgage at 4.5% fixed. Sounds like a steal to me.
  13. This was the best part about the whole thing. Suuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeee it was Geo. I bet he didn't inhale either, like Clinton.
  14. Amazing. This team really can't expect to win until they stop doing stupid stuff like walking the leadoff guy 3 times and giving up 2 hits to a guy batting .100 this month. Mauer and Morneau are absolute RBI beasts and our pitching staff can't seem to keep the guys in front of them off the basepaths. It seems like the Twins come with the same formula every game (put a pitcher out there with less than stellar stuff but who can hit the zone, get guys on in front of Mauer and Morneau and let them hit em in) and the Crew can't seem to figure it out. Actually, that formula has done a pretty good job of making the Brewers look foolish the last couple of years.
  15. Brewers' relievers, take note: When the offense gets you back in the game, you are supposed to go out there and put up a zero. This does NOT include walking the leadoff man. For examples, see: Minnesota Twins...
  16. Macha (for whatever reason) intentionally walked Matthew Tolbert twice in this series. Tolbert is batting all of .160. I don't understand either.
  17. Spoke too soo. I'm going back to pulling my eyeballs out. This is what leadoff walks get you I guess...
  18. The pitching needs to step it up here. A 0 would be nice.
  19. This is getting better. I am starting to put my eyeballs back into my head. I hope they keep it up!
  20. Wow. A little life. Let's see Ryan and Prince do something now.
  21. Watching all of these lazy ground outs and fly outs makes me want to gag. Why do the Twins alwasy seem to do this to the Brewers. They can't handle pitchers that just throw strikes or what?
  22. Yeah, probably. I just get frustrated when they strand leadoff doubles and can't hit the ball off of people like Scott Baker.
  23. What day isn't the offense asleep right now? They have been a pathetic bunch of losers lately.
  24. Good points. Not only that, but it also makes it that much quicker that Mauer and Morneau get up.
