  1. With a runner on 3rd, I'd pinch hit with Hurricane here. Help out his confidence.
  2. Lox saves it again. Good win. Small ball, long ball, good sheets. Plus losses by the scrubs and cards
  3. Tough call for Ned to pull him there. I would've left him in, but I understand the decision.
  4. We just need one homer to get going. I'd love a golf home run here for Braunie here.
  5. This just seems like one of those games where we just give up at the plate and have no umph. We are a team that feeds off of momentum (all teams are) but we often just fold against goof ball pitchers like Slowly.
  6. I think it matters to an extent. I'm starting to think having a bad apple behind the plate has more of an impact than anywhere else (except for manager). I really think Estrada threw off the pitchers and that spread last year.
  7. I want to see Yost's FAV FIVE in his cell phone: I think its 1. Shouse, 2. Shouse, 3. Tavaraz, 4. Disconnected 5. Somewhere in Canada
  8. Poor McClung. Doesn't deserve this. Let's hope he has some gas for Father's Day/Polish Bobblehead day (my first game since the opener).
  9. Is anyone warming>? I'm stuck listening to the Astros radio...
  10. Think Yost should go for the double switch and pull Hall? Sorry stupid call
  11. Here comes the story of a Hurricane...
  12. No. Hopefully Bobby Cox decides to lift him for a pinch-hitter because otherwise I smell a complete-game two-hitter, ehhh, about ten K's. Way Soup is pitching this could go a few more...Hall is going to unleash and opposite field HR this inning.
  13. No idea. It is the only reason I'll have any confidence if we make the playoffs. We can win against some of the toughest pitchers in the league but can't touch Jo Jo or Nelson Figeroa. Lets hope we don't have to play the 'stros in the playoffs.
  14. With the exception of Soriano (.285) and Reed Johnson (.280) Cubs starting lineup is all batting above .300. So annoying.
  15. Exactly. Well predicted. Great game for Bush. Torres is a money fantasy player this week picking up all the stats.
  16. You may just be right about that. Bill Hall wins games.... Ballsy baserunning...great win
  17. Think cox regrets pitching around Branyan?? I think it was a poor decision. EDIT: The man is a legend, please spell his name correctly. - b19
  18. Lets ride the muscle while he's hot. Hall against righties was killing us. Hope Manny can keep his good streak going.
  19. Yeah, maybe Sheets could crack Kendall in the face with a right hook and then we can ship Kendall to some team for a bag of balls.
  20. This is a very smart move. If anyone on this team is a potential HOF'r, its Braun. It is good to have a star associated with your team for his entire career a la Yount. He'll be a Brewer for at least 8-9 years before any potential move. Let's hope this doesn't negatively affect Prince. I think locking up Hart should be next. Having Laporta, Hart and Braun in the OF for the next decade sure would be nice.
  21. He's gassed. Two innings yesterday...Already 22 pitches here. Bring on Mota for another quick save.
  22. I would LOVE a demanded trade. Think we can get Ray King for him?
  23. Good Old Mark Sweeny. Just like 2001, can't get a hit in the city of Milwaukee.
  24. At least it is the bottom of the order.
  25. At least it is the bottom of the order.
