  1. Greinke was pretty good tonight. 5 IP 2 ER 7 K 75 pitches.
  2. Betancourt with a bomb! I guess all of our homers need to be bombs.
  3. Roenicke said all along while Hart was out that he planned to put him in the 2 hole, so I'd assume we'll see him back there eventually.
  4. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/120998319.html Now Roenicke is saying he won't commit to when Greinke will return. It makes no sense to not start him on regular rest on the 4th. He would have to be pushed back to the 6th to split Wolf and Narveson. If Roenicke wants to split them, he can just start Gallardo on regular rest on the 7th in between Wolf and Narveson. Either way I don't think it's smart, because somebody will have 6 days off between starts no matter what. If Greinke slots in on the 4th, all it does is give everyone one extra day, which makes more sense to me. Then everything is normal.
  5. Gomez actually has been decent recently, but I really don't think it would end if he wasn't in the 2 hole. With that being said, Hart shouldn't be put there right now either, so I don't have a problem with Gomez there for awhile longer until Hart settles in. Hart helps us out in the 6 hole too.
  6. Why does everyone just assume Parra comes back? He's made 6 rehab appearances. If they really wanted him back, wouldn't he be back by now? My guess is he's mostly insurance but that the policy runs out pretty soon and it's between he and Green for one roster spot. Parra is notoriously poor vs left handed hitters. He's not the guy you want replacing Stetter in that role. I wouldn't assume they'd hold on to Green either rather than Estrada. We rarely use Stetter as it is. Braddock usually fills whole innings, but could fill a loggy role when needed. Then Parra would take Braddock's role. I'd much rather have Parra than Green. I don't think Stetter is any good either, so I'd take Parra over him also.
  7. Not saying I would do it. I just think that's what is gonna happen. I really hope we at least keep Estrada up as a long-man or something. That's all we can hope for now.
  8. On the bright side, we only wasted $1.75 million this time. Also, we at least have Loe doing well as our setup man now, and Hawkins is looking pretty good too. I think we'll be fine without him, but I'd rather see Kintzler get an extended look than keep Green on the roster.
  9. I've always loved Rickie Weeks. Been on his bandwagon through all of the injuries and struggles, and now during his huge success. It's good to see him finally reaching his potential. I'm glad we now have him locked up for the prime years of his career also. I hope he gets to the All-Star game this year.
  10. That's just wonderful. Now he'll probably be out two months, like Hart was. See ya in July Saito. Worst part about this is actually that Green will get to keep his roster spot. We'll send out Kintzler when Morgan comes back, Estrada when Greinke comes back, and Stetter when Parra comes back. All we can hope is that we keep Estrada as a long-man in the pen, and get rid of Green.
  11. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/120932384.html TH with the update. He re-injured his hamstring.
  12. That's just great. Now we have to deal with Sean Green for longer.
  13. Haha, if Yuni wins player of the month, I'd be happy. That would be great for us. It will never happen, but it would be a dream if it did. That would mean our whole lineup would be dominant, and we'd probably win even more than 21 games.
  14. No, people are referring to the initial posting in this topic, not you. Don't worry about it.
  15. I'll go with 17-12, but I have a feeling this could be an even bigger month for us.
  16. Yeah, AT&T isn't great outside of the Milwaukee area. I have problems in Madison as well, and especially at Camp Randall.
  17. Yep, gotta say I'm happy with how the month turned out, despite all of the injuries we had to deal with. Next month will go better.
  18. I have the same problem in all stadiums really. I think it's just an overflow of activity.
  19. I'm with you HiAndTight. I don't know where this is coming from. I haven't noticed any negativity towards Prince on this forum. Especially about his contract situation. The majority of people on this forum are very knowledgable, and know the situation he is in. We all know he's going to leave for more money, and we accept it. I haven't really heard anyone here bash Prince, or be negative about him because he will leave. Sure, we all do want him to stay, but we respect what he's doing on the field, and how he's handling the situation. We all know the situation, and we all know that it's business. You don't have to come in here and make a topic about it claiming that people are being negative and don't understand the situation, when the majority of people here do. This topic makes no sense to me.
  20. The thing is that if Betancourt played decently in the field, people would think that his bat is serviceable. I think most people would take 10-15 HR and 60-65 RBI from their SS. I'm not saying that I want Betancourt as our SS, or that I like him. I'm just saying that his bat is decent, and he's our 7 hitter. He is what he is. I wish we had a better defensive SS, but we don't. If he puts up the previous numbers I stated, I can live with him for this year. When we are healthy, he's really the only weakness in our lineup.
  21. So 16 HR and 78 RBI isn't serviceable? I get that he doesn't get on base at a great clip, but he's out 7 hitter. I'll take what I can get out of him. He sucks horribly in the field, but his bat isn't bad. It's definitely better than Escobar's by quite a bit sadly. Escobar is hitting .209 with a .234 OBP and .242 SLG. That's just dreadful. If Yuni can drive in 60-65 runs and 10-15 HR for us this year, I'll take that. I know we could use a better fielding SS, but we didn't get one, so we'll have to live with the improved offensive numbers over Escobar for this season. Hopefully next year we improve the position.
  22. The dude mashes at home, and sucks on the road. He is what he is I guess. I still absolutely hate him in the field, but his bat is definitely serviceable. He's a lot better at the plate than Escobar though, so I guess that's good.
  23. Same here. I've always had trouble at Miller Park. I just think it's because of the number of people trying to use the network and everything. I have an iPhone for AT&T.
