I could care less about who they replace him with. Not worried about that. I just hope he makes a full recovery. Seemed like he was about as close as he could get to dying last night. Thankfully, he's stable now. Last night was just surreal to watch. I don't know how they were able to go on with the show. It was clear everyone was shaken up by it. It definitely effected me just from watching him for year and years. I can't imagine what it was like for all the people who see and work with him on a daily basis.
Since the Brewers are now only 5 GB of the 2nd WC, I'm just curious if the Brewers will start thinking about sending out playoff ticket info to season ticket holders. Being one myself, I can't really recall what they have done in previous years. There haven't been a ton of situations like this before. Anyone have any inside info on this?
Yeah, it's gotta be a huge dilemma for them with Fiers right now. Take him out of the rotation, and that would likely end any chance at a playoff spot. It may be a risk they have to take. I don't think they can afford to not have him the rotation at this point.
Yep, Gamel in RF makes the most sense at this point. He could see a decent amount of starts out there, and still backup 1B, 3B, and also DH in interleague games. There will still be at-bats for him next year. It mostly hinges on how well Aoki and Gomez play though I guess. That will determine how many starts are available in the OF. Schafer will also factor in to some extent as well.
The easiest thing to do would be to just tack on the extra game after the afternoon game on Sunday, but they may just play it right away tomorrow. We'll see what they decide. The Brewers are traveling back home on Sunday, so it's not very far. I could see them agreeing to play the DH on Sunday. It's either that or a day/night DH tomorrow.
Taylor Green has now been called up per his agent on twitter. Makes sense with Ramirez hurting his back last night. I doubt they want Bianchi starting every game at 3B while he is out.
He doesn't need to come back this season for that to happen. I'd rather just have Segura and Bianchi keep splitting playing time the rest of the season. They can bring him into ST with little risk and make the decision there.
I just read in a few places online that Lesnar vs. Triple H II is now planned for Wrestlemania 29. That's a pretty big disappointment in my opinion. I'd rather see that match happen before Mania if it has to happen, and then have Lesnar face Taker at Mania. Not sure who Taker will wrestle now, if anyone. Maybe it'll be Cena if they do Rock vs. Punk. Otherwise, I have no idea. I guess it could be Punk, but that doesn't seem as likely.
I'm not a big fan of Cole, but King has gotten so bad that he's really hard to listen to. I'd rather see him get replaced than Cole. I wouldn't mind JBL coming back and taking that spot. I actually would like to see heel King come back. He was best in that role. I love heel King, but he'll never come back unfortunately.

Actually it has nothing to do with it. Bianchi can't even be activated until Saturday, because he hasn't been down 10 days yet. Plus, Roenicke said Segura will likely play on Friday. It was just a move to clear space in the rotation for Marcum. Rather than put Wolf in the pen, they released him to give him a shot to catch on somewhere else. That's all it is. There was no just no reason to put off releasing Wolf for another few days or however long. This just gives him more time to catch on with another team.
Not saying I disagree will your logic, I was just trying to explain why they'll do it at Survivor Series. It's pretty predictable honestly. I agree that they don't even need the rematch at all. Taker coming back will definitely happen though. That just seems like the direction they'll go at this point.
It sucks for Wolf, but he just really hit the wall this year. He was very solid for the Crew before this year, but I doubt most people will remember that. Still, it's nice to see him actually be held accountable after being horrible all season.
Really happy about this. He was horrible this year. Needed some accountability here. And to answer your question, the September rotation will be Gallardo, Marcum, Estrada, Thornburg, Peralta. Wolf isn't needed.
