  1. Par for the course once through the order. Hopefully we get after him the 2nd time through.
  2. It'll definitely be at Survivor Series. There's no way they'll have it at the Rumble when The Rock is already headlining in the WWE Championship match. They'll want a Lesnar/HHH rematch to have top billing. They can do that at Survivor Series. The Rumble is already big with The Rock and the Rumble match itself. They don't need to put all their eggs in one basket.
  3. Well, Rusin is making his major league debut. That usually isn't a good thing for the Brewers.
  4. Supposedly it'll be a Lesnar/HHH rematch at Survivor Series, so yeah it'll be kind of lame that he left on the same storyline basically and will come back to face the same opponent. Oh well I guess. It'll be interesting to see when Jericho comes back, and how they do it. Maybe he'll come back sometime next year once Ziggler is established as the WHC and then face him for the title at WrestleMania. That's something I'd like to see. I agree the angle to get rid of him was dumb. I would've rather seen an injury angle or something to set something up for when he returns. Either that or come out with something new. Obviously they weren't just gonna say that he's touring with Fozzy so he's leaving. I think it'll also be interesting to see what they do with the Cena/Punk feud. Will Punk continue to defeat Cena and go on to face Rock at the Rumble, or will Cena get the title, face Rock at the Rumble, and then Punk gets the shot at WrestleMania. We'll see.
  5. Looks like it. http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/2012/08/20/rogers-nearing-end-of-the-line/
  6. I'd offer him a reasonable 1-year deal. If he doesn't take it, I'd just walk away. There's no way I'd offer him the $13 million qualifying offer. It really wouldn't surprise me if he actually prefers a 1-year deal at this point. He probably just wants to come back and prove that he can stay healthy, and try to get a better multi-year deal next offseason. He'd have to settle for a lot less to get a multi-year deal at this point. I think he'd take a 1-year, $13 million deal and run with it. That's why I wouldn't offer it.
  7. I really hope Wolf gets removed from the rotation at some point to get Peralta or Thornburg some starts. Doesn't necessarily have to be until September, but preferably sooner. I'd rather keep Rogers in the rotation also.
  8. Wolf pitching at Coors Field just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
  9. I agree with this. His career is far from over. He's only 30, and he still has great stuff. He's not at the age where he would've really lost anything. He'll probably bounce back. It's not like he's old, at the end of his career, and just hit the wall. It'll be interesting to see the kind of interest he receives on the free agent market though after the season he's had. Some team could end up getting a steal if he returns to form quickly.
  10. Don't worry, Wolf pitches tomorrow. I'm sure he'll be able to duplicate Gallardo's success at Coors...
  11. I'd just send down McClendon when Rogers returns. He won't get any opportunities to pitch anyway. I think he's pitched once since he came up. There's really no need to carry 13 pitchers anymore. We could use the extra bench bat more.
  12. I like today's lineup. I'd stick with it. Aoki Weeks Braun Ramirez Hart Lucroy/Maldonado Gomez Segura Pitcher
  13. Gomez back down in the 7 spot today, with Weeks in the 2 hole. I like this lineup a lot better.
  14. Weeks is back up in the 2 hole today. About time Roenicke made that move.
  15. FWIW, Parra was available tonight. However, I don't understand why they didn't DL him a few weeks ago instead of going with a 24 man roster for this whole time.
  16. De Los Santos, Peralta, Thornburg, and probably another reliever since there is an open 40-man spot. Maybe Kintzler. Bianchi, Green, Schafer, and possibly Farris as well.
  17. I think Estrada would just go back to the bullpen if the younger guys come out looking good in September and Spring Training next year. He's really just there as insurance in case he's needed in the rotation. I still prefer him in the bullpen. I would like to see him there next year a few of our young guys can step up and take rotation spots. Gallardo and Fiers are locks at this point, and they'll likely sign someone to take the 2 spot behind Gallardo. That'll leave 2 spots between Thornburg, Rogers, Peralta, and Estrada. Either way, I think all 4 could end up being on the Opening Day roster. Unless it's Thornburg or Peralta who don't win a rotation spot. They may be sent to AAA in that case. I think Rogers would be kept in the pen, as would Estrada.
  18. Hamilton will definitely be a CF in the future. He's definitely not ready to step in and be the Reds leadoff hitter yet though.
  19. It's pretty obvious that the Reds have been winning because of their starting pitching and bullpen for the majority of the season too. If they had a little bit better offense, they'd be scary good. If they can get a good leadoff hitter, and maybe another SP in the offseason, they'll still clearly be the team to beat in the NL Central. Probably in the NL period for that matter, although the Nationals will be up there as well.
  20. The lineup they've usually been throwing out there without Votto isn't exactly pedestrian. Cozart Stubbs Phillips Bruce Ludwick Rolen Frazier Hanigan That's still pretty good. They could use a good leadoff hitter, but other than that they have a good lineup. I'm kind of surprised they didn't make a bigger play for a guy like Victorino. When Votto is in there it does make a big difference though.

  22. Like you said, the real problem is that even though a guy like Punk has held the title for a prolonged period and yet Cena is still main eventing all of the PPV's. If Punk is the champ, he needs to be the in the main event, and get the chance to get over like Cena. Maybe they purposely did it to lead to his heel turn, but I think that's only a partial excuse. If they actually want guys like Punk and Bryan to get completely over and become absolute stars, they need to book them that way.
  23. http://www.wrestling-edge.com/wwe-news-rumors/jericho-takes-offense-nashs-remarks-nash-calls-jericho-closet-mark.html Not sure if any of you guys saw this, but Nash and Jericho got in a bit of a twitter feud. It was over Nash's dumb comments saying that the wrestling industry died when Guerrero and Benoit were both champs at the end of WM 20. I think that's an absolute joke, so I definitely side with Jericho on this one. Jericho really nailed him with a few good ones. The last remark I found absolutely hilarious. “Funny how @realkevinnash says wrestling “died” when Benoit and Guerrero were champs-Yet the worst year for WWE biz was 95 when he was on top.” “Hope @realkevinnash doesn’t tear his quad tweeting! #typicalbigman #nwothirdwheel.”
