  1. I agree. JBL is fantastic in the broadcast booth. Always has been. I will also watch SmackDown more because of him. I'll also be glad that he'll be on PPVs as well. Likely in a 3-man booth with Cole and King.
  2. Don't know if any of you guys have seen this too, but it looks like the SuperDome will be hosting WrestleMania 30. Or at least it is highly rumored to. I think that would be pretty cool. Could get a big crowd, and it would be incredibly loud in there too.
  3. Yes, and that was 10 years ago. They won't go back to anything smaller than a football stadium now that they've had so much success doing so in recent years. Including this year, 7 straight WrestleManias have been in football stadiums. Safeco held about 54,000 for WrestleMania 19. The lowest attendance in that last 7 was 71,000 in the Georgia Dome for WrestleMania 27. They had over 92,000 at WrestleMania 26. You know Vince has wet dreams of more of that. Think of how many they could fit in Cowboys Stadium. Probably about 110,000. I don't see them going away from football stadiums in the future. Do much extra revenue would be lost by doing so, which is why WrestleMania 30 won't be at the Garden. The only exception is probably the SkyDome, because it can fit almost 70,000 for WrestleMania.
  4. Miller Park isn't big enough for the spectacle that WrestleMania has become. They basically go exclusively with football stadiums now. They could go somewhere that could fit twice as many people as Miller Park.
  5. The most I'd give Dempster is 2 years. Maybe with an option, if it's a team option. Anything more would be a huge mistake.
  6. Hart already said this isn't true. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/178094741.html But nonetheless, I'd like to see it happen if the the amount of years and the money are reasonable.
  7. I'm surprised Jeffress didn't request a trade to the Rockies after marijuana was legalized there on Tuesday.
  8. I would vote against the DH, because I prefer the strategy of not having one. I just enjoy NL baseball a lot more than AL. Seems more bland without as much pinch-hitting and double switching. The whole roster is used more without the DH, and that includes the bullpen as well.
  9. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/176876051.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter This makes me feel better. This quote is hilarious. “We’ve got the connection with (hitting coach) Johnny Narron but we don’t have the connection with U.S. Bank,” said Melvin.
  10. Morgan was just outrighted off the 40-man too.
  11. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/20513034/astros-new-logo-uniforms-accidentally-revealed Here's a partial look at the uniforms. Apparently they screwed up the shadowed photo on their website. I think they are boring. Like their old uniforms better.
  12. @Bernie_Brewer Ok...time to #GUESSBREW! The #Brewers first bobblehead of 2013 will feature a player who turns 31 in January. First bobble is Aoki!
  13. That was definitely one of the worst finishes I've ever seen. Pathetic that they couldn't come up with anything better than that.
  14. Pretty sure a veteran starter could be had fairly cheap late in the offseason if Hamilton is signed, but it guarantees at least 4 in-house guys in the rotation. It would likely eliminate them from the #2 starters market though for sure, and probably limit the flexibility to sign bullpen arms. Another reason why it's a bad idea. Although I'm sure some people believe we could trade a bat for an arm if Hamilton is signed. That's possible I suppose.
  15. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/jon-heyman/20686156/brewers-seriously-thinking-about-making-a-play-for-josh-hamilton The fact that Heyman is reporting it alone makes it more legit to me. Scares the crap out of me even more.
  16. This is awesome. Hoping for some good alumni bobbles.
  17. Haha, I really wanna know what that was. Looks like a really extravagant celebration of some sort. Really weird.
  18. Yep, definitely bad then. $13 million for Bell is too high in my opinion. We'll see i guess. Maybe he can turn it around a little bit, but I really don't see it happening. He was a product of Petco for the most part all along.
  19. I think it's funnier that the D'Backs traded for Bell. There's no way they got enough money back in the deal to justify it. Young is a really nice pickup for the A's. I think he'll fit in well in their lineup. The Marlins win just by getting rid of Bell. That was an absolutely horrible signing. Everyone but them knew it at the time too. I'm sure they'll nullify this move in the offseason though by making another stupid signing, or trading for A-Rod, or both.
  20. I really hope some team jumps on Hamilton right away, because the only way I see him being a possibility is if he is still hanging around late in the offseason. Melvin will address pitching first. If there is money left over, and Hamilton is still hanging around at a decent asking price then he might kick the tires. I don't want any part of him either way, but that's the scenario that scares me. Personally, I'd rather just got with Hart and Gomez. They wouldn't be a huge downgrade offensively from Hamilton and Gamel, and they'd be far better defensively. I want to just stick with what we have on offense.
  21. I hope this is more of a scenario where the Brewers will have already addressed their pitching needs, and then if Hamilton still happens to be out there for a cheaper price, then they'll kick the tires. I'm still terrified about this. Pitching should really be the priority here. Hamilton shouldn't even be on the radar for the price he'll likely command, even if it's not as high as originally thought.
  22. Uh oh, it begins again. This time it's Buster Olney, who is a lot more credible. He says it'll only be if no one overpays him, and he basically falls in our laps. But that would mean we'd be the ones taking the risk, which terrifies me. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog/_/name/olney_buster/id/8511345/milwaukee-brewers-lot-offer-josh-hamilton-mlb
