  1. I agree. Anyone, including Lesnar, interfering in the main event would be incredibly stupid and cheapen a match that they spent an entire year building. There's also the possibility he interferes in the HHH/Taker match though, as it's long been rumored that he would return to face Taker at WrestleMania. Maybe he comes in and screws HHH, and follows up by saying he wants to be the one to end the streak. Taker accepts, and go from there. Then he could feud with someone else in between now and WrestleMania 29. But as you said, the only other option I see is The Rock. But with the rumors that he will face Cena again, I'm not sure I see that happening. Guess we gotta wait and see.
  2. So if he's less dumb this season then you say he was last season, and we won 96 games and made the playoffs, why would we not make the playoffs again. Being less dumb would be an improvement, and only help us. Not that I think he was a complete idiot last season like you said, because I don't.
  3. If Hart is 100% and hitting well, just go with him. No reason not to.

  5. That would be really cool if he did that. I've never seen that happen before.
  6. This goes along with your last point. Roenicke insists on using the 2 hitter to move over the leadoff hitter. He doesn't want Weeks to be wasted, so instead he does it to Nyjer. It would make more sense to have Nyjer leadoff in my opinion, so Weeks gets more RBI opportunities and hits in front of Braun. This is one thing I really hate about Roenicke.
  7. To be clear, Roenicke has said that Morgan is only playing CF, because he'll play there a lot this year. He said if him and Gomez are in the same lineup during the regular season, Gomez will be in CF and Morgan will be in RF. He's just making sure Morgan gets playing time in CF during ST.
  8. I also just saw that Fontenot is for sure getting released. I wonder if Melvin has kicked the tires on him at all now that he's an option.
  9. Yep, that's pretty much how I feel. I've been trying to say here that his situation mirrors Gamel's. They clearly don't want history to repeat itself by sticking Green on the bench and having him possibly struggle. The only way he'll see time in the majors is if someone gets hurt, so it's actually regular playing time. He's obviously more ready for that by being in AAA getting regular at-bats than sitting on the bench.
  10. I know it's an unfortunate situation, but Conrad is a lot better than Izturis even though he's still not great himself. Let's just hope our IFs stay healthy, so these guys stay on the bench, and don't make many starts.
  11. No way Gamel gets moved off 1B if he hits well. They won't make him change positions again. And there's zero chance he gets traded if he hits well. They wouldn't give up a 1B who can hit, and is under control until 2017. Ramirez will also stay at 3B. If Hart hits, there's no way he'll be traded either. In that scenario, everyone stays where they are. Gindl would just stay in AAA another year. And if Hart was traded, then he'd take RF. Green is still the odd man out in that situation. The only way Green gets his opportunity long-term is if Gamel struggles or Weeks or Ramirez is traded. I don't see either of them being traded, so for the near future it's limited to Gamel struggling. Otherwise he'll have to wait out Ramirez's contract.
  12. If all they saw him as was a career backup, then he'd be in the majors as a backup. The only reason for him to be in AAA right now is to get regular at-bats. If he's slated to only be a bench player, then he'd just be a bench player and not need the regular at-bats. I still think they wanna keep him ready for down the road, just like they did with Gamel. Just seems almost exactly the same to me.
  13. The funny thing is that Moyer is old enough to be the father of everyone except a handful of his teammates. That's pretty crazy.
  14. The problem with that is we have entrenched starters. The Cardinals had multiple spots in their lineup that they could rotate players in and out of, and also had quite a few injuries throughout the year. Barring injury, I wouldn't expect a large enough amount of starts to be available anywhere on the field for that type of plan to be even close to possible. If healthy, the lowest amount of games anyone in our starting lineup would play would be around 140, with most playing more than that. Not including Lucroy of course, and possibly Gamel. But the starts at 1B would be taken by Hart, and Aoki or Morgan/Gomez would start in RF. The Cardinals basically had an open rotation at 2B and SS for the entire season until Furcal was acquired. Less playing time would've been available also if Holliday weren't injured a few times. If the Brewers had that same situation, there's no reason to believe Roenicke wouldn't manage it like La Russa did, but that's not the case. If Green was up here on the bench, how many starts would he actually get if there weren't injuries? Maybe 10-15 each at 2B and 3B. That's about it unless Gamel struggled. In which case he could be recalled anyway.
  15. I know, I was just making a comment that the only actually he'll likely see is at SS. Whether he can play 2B or not. I think the fact that he didn't really play it at all in ST means he won't see action there. Seems to be viewed as strictly a SS.
  16. I honestly don't see him being called up to take a bench role. If they wanted him off the bench, he'd start the season there. The only way I see him getting called up is if Weeks,Ramirez, or maybe Gamel(Ishikawa might get the call there) gets hurt, in which case he'd get a lot of playing time. Other than that, I doubt it happens. If Izturis sucks, it'll be Maysonet getting the call. I don't see Gamel sucking. If Gonzales gets hurt, Maysonet will be called up also. If Conrad sucks, it'd be an interesting decision, but my gut tells me that either Ishikawa would get the call, or possibly Maysonet. Green being in AAA means the Brewers are dedicated to getting him consistent at-bats.
  17. Yeah, I either watch live streams or download every WWE PPV, except WrestleMania. I always have my friends over, and we order that, splitting the cost. Mainly because WrestleMania is usually the only PPV worth paying for, and even then it doesn't cost me a lot because it's a shared cost. Although, sometimes WrestleMania doesn't end up being the best PPV of the year sadly.
  18. I highly doubt Izturis will ever play anything besides SS this year, except in an emergency situation. Conrad will backup 2B and 3B, and if someone gets hurt at either position, Green will come up and get most of the playing time I would imagine.
  19. Yep, I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot of complaints about Conrad and Izturis within the first few weeks of the season. Followed by continuous calls for Green and Maysonet. On the bright side, Aoki should be a welcome upgrade over Kotsay.
  20. Honestly the only reason seems to be that Conrad has hit left-handed pitching well in his career, and is a switch-hitter. Green has outperformed him this spring by a longshot.
  21. http://brewersbeat.mlblogs.com/2012/03/30/brewers-nearing-maryvale-extension/ Close to 10-year agreement with Phoenix to stay at Maryvale per McCalvy.
  22. Just saw on twitter that Amaury Rivas was outrighted to AAA. 40-man stands at 36. Makes me think that Ishikawa will make the roster if Hart's not ready. 1 spot for Rogers, 1 for Izturis. The other 2 are likely for Conrad and Ishikawa.
  23. http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Norichika+Aoki+Cleveland+Indians+v+Milwaukee+ZHV2rCFdjril.jpg And this is how I feel about it! http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/001/620/749/140950463_crop_650x440.jpg?1332270705
  24. I hope he's not traded, I'm just saying I could see it happening. I hope it doesn't. I know there's the camp that says he has nothing left to prove in AAA, but that's not really the point. The point is that the Brewers think he should be getting every day AB's. They have seen how Gamel struggled in a bench role, and they don't wanna put Green in the same situation.
  25. Wouldn't surprise me to see Green on the bench again if we make the postseason. He'll be up for all of September.
