  1. I agree that Green should be in AAA. It sucks for him, but I'd be concerned that he could struggle in a bench role like Gamel, and possibly lose some confidence. I'd rather see him playing everyday, and be there in case of injury. He'll be ready when his time comes, much like Gamel.
  2. Has anyone else not received their tickets yet? I still haven't gotten mine, which is slightly concerning. Guess I'll have to give my ticket rep a call today.
  3. Conrad has also played at 1B, 2B, and 3B, is a switch-hitter, and has more experience and success as a pinch-hitter. Green hitting slightly better in ST won't necessarily tip the scales in his favor. Especially knowing Roenicke.
  4. That's true. I bet Nashville will do very well this year just because of their rotation.
  5. Farris and Wheeler were optioned to AAA. 40 players left in camp. Conrad seems almost a sure thing now, as is Izturis unless Melvin finds another SS.
  6. Rivas(AAA), Manzanillo(AA), optioned. Bianchi outrighted to AA and Arlis returned to minor league camp. 42 players left in camp. 40 man roster now stands at 38, not including Rogers. 2 spots open, likely for the two backup IFs.
  7. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/143104846.html Like it or not, Rogers was optioned to AAA Nashville today and will be stretched out as a starter. Personally, I'd rather have him as a reliever.
  8. I personally would value Taylor Green much higher than Andino, despite Andino having proven he can hit MLB pitching. What I'm saying is that Baltimore is likely not very inclined to move Andino Exactly, I'd value Green incredibly higher, which is why I laughed about it. Melvin isn't giving up anyone of value for a backup IF.
  9. Taylor Green for Andino? yeah right. Don't think Melvin's that desperate. He was mentioned as a player who would possibly be released, but obviously that's not gonna happen now. Melvin is probably looking at possible cuts and guys he could maybe trade a low-level minor leaguer for, ie the Morgan trade last spring.
  10. Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. I was checking out all of their stats and career history, and it seems like those 2 would be the best options of the bunch. Andino has the most experience at SS.
  11. MLBTR picked up on this, and threw out some names that could be trade options. Any of these guys interest anyone? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/03/brewers-seek-middle-infielder.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  12. Quote from ESPN Insider... The Milwaukee Brewers are apparently not fully satisfied with their depth at the middle infield positions and are looking for help there, tweets ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney. On the free agent market resides the likes of Aaron Miles, Felipe Lopez and Julio Lugo, as well as veteran Miguel Tejada. The Brewers are more likely to find such assistance via trade, and there are always mid-to-late March deals as clubs sift through their rosters and trade non-roster invitees, players out of options and depth they can spare. The Brewers' starting second baseman is Rickie Weeks and at shortstop is Alex Gonzalez. Clearly, GM Doug Melvin isn't confident in Cesar Izturis as a regular if one of the starters gets injured.
  13. There's really no one out there free agent wise, so I'd guess that Melvin is looking at players in competitions for roster spots on other teams. Not sure which teams have any sort of competition for utility IFs going on though.
  14. FWIW, Buster Olney just tweeted that the Brewers are looking for IFs capable of filling in for Weeks or Gonzalez if one goes down at any point. They must not be confident in Izturis anymore. Not sure who is all out there though that would be a better option.
  15. De la Cruz is no big loss. I figured he'd be a casualty. Someone had to be the odd man out, and he looked horrible so far in ST.
  16. Man that was hilarious! Love it!
  17. I do it through my ticket rep. Just give him a call, tell him which game I want to upgrade, then I mail him the tickets I'm upgrading, and he mails me the upgraded tickets. That seems like the easiest way to do for me. It's the only way I've ever done it.
  18. Got my upgrade vouchers today too. Can't wait until the tickets arrive later this week though! One of the best days of the year!
  19. I totally agree with this. I'd rather have the old type of builds, that involved both guys having matches, and the other interfering. Or both are involved in tag matches against each other, kind of like Jericho and Punk were last week. I wouldn't mind seeing Rock in action before WrestleMania. HHH and Taker don't need to be, but it would be more interesting if Cena and Rock were.
  20. Wasn't a big fan of Raw tonight. The Sheamus/Ziggler match was actually pretty good though. It was kinda cool seeing Cena come out to Basic Thuganomics too. Those were the days when he was actually tolerable as a heel. Granted the gimmick got a little old, which is why they changed it, but I liked it for awhile. The Rock concert was alright, but it was kinda lame that he just kept doing a parody of one song over and over again. I enjoyed his '03 concerts a lot more. One thing I loved was the Jericho promo about Punk. Very good stuff. True heel promo. Great sell by Punk too. The rest was just pointless stuff pretty much. The Taker/HBK thing was ok I guess, just to make people thing he's colluding with HHH.
  21. Yeah, that 12-man match will suck. Tons of wasted talent in that match. Especially since it likely won't be an elimination match. I would've at least liked to see some of these guys in MITB or separate matches. Oh well I guess. We all knew this would happen. In other news, the MITB PPV is now in June, and No Way Out is coming back in July. TLC will still be in December.
  22. That sucks. I got 2nd row loge for Opening Day with my 20-pack. Pretty happy about that.
  23. Miller Park does have closed captioning. It was new at the end of the season if I recall. Possibly even started as late as the playoffs. But they do have it now for sure.
  24. Actually, it does sound great. It is great news. It was all stuff that could be easily repaired, and was found at the right time before it got worse. Not having a complete tear is good. The timeline should be right. Just a matter of getting him enough at-bats to be ready. This will be an easier injury to come back from than the oblique he had last year, which always recurs. He'll probably miss a week or two of the season max, and maybe not even that. There are ways to get more more at-bats in a short period of time. Just send him over to the minor league side, and get him at-bats there before or after the major league games.
  25. I find it hilarious that they use the Cubs winning the World Series as the example of something unreal, and basically impossible happening. Lol, that is awesome. It truly can only happen in a video game, so it applies.
