  1. $10 for the 2 of them together? hmmmmmm I might have to rethink my deal... I've seen them on many times and haven't pulled the trigger myself. There was alwys something else that came along to buy.
  2. You can pick up the 2 different years on ebay quite regularly for under $10 total. I know one of the posters has Mickey mantle on it also in the background.
  3. I'm shocked you got Gagne to add the Cy Young. I've gotten him twice this year and he wouldn't add it. I think hart is exclusive to Legends of the Field for sweetspot.
  4. I recognized quite a few people for the Elm Grove auto signings. And after checking ebay I'm glad that there weren't many if any of the people getting CC's auto are trying to sell them for a quick buck. It looks like everyone there was a collector.
  5. On Friday I got Gallardo on a couple of balls at Sentry in Hartford. He was 15 minutes late, and he looked like a rock star showing up.
  6. I went to the Elm Grove party. I got there at 7am and was about 35th in line. The earliest people were there at 4am. I knew Prince wasn't going to be there as it was said during the Brewer game telecast, but there were people there that didn't know. Even the Brewers employees selling novelties didn't know Prince wasn't showing up. What sucked for most, but happened to be good for me was that Durham was announced right before the event after hours of wainting in line that he wasn't going to make it. He had a prior obligations. Well, after I got CC I went into the McClung line and it was said that Durham was going to make it after all. What a class guy!! He also got lost finding the park. I jumped into the Durham line and a friend got the McClung for me. CC signed a ball for my wife and then I got a ball signed with his CY YOUNG inscription. My friends wife was 30th in line for Braun. They got there at 7am. It was her party that asked Braun to marry her while she got down on one knee. I wish I would have gave them an extra ball because I need Riske's auto. At WB it seemed like it was better organized with the police taking over. The problem with the line skippers is that they have no conscience. You just can't embarrass them.
  7. The website just says all of September. The lineup always changed anyways due to guys being sent down, called up, or the scheduled starter. I think they will do it again next year...at least I hope so.
  8. With it being signed on the sweetspot you lose a demographic of collectors that are collecting the team withthe WS baseball. Almost all that I have seen are signed under the logo. I even got Kapler for some of the Red Sox fans for their 2004 WS baseballs when he was signing at Prices.
  9. I didn't pick up much. I waited in line and got LaMarr Hoyt autograph on a baseball with his CY Young inscription. I also, was able to pick up a Hank Allen autographed baseball. Now I'm down to 7 players from the 1970 team. A few odds and ends Brewers cards/stickers I neede. I was surprised to find one of the '70 Brewers, so that made my day.
  10. Kind of, He will sign balls TTM. If you send something else, ala 8x10 or baseball card he will send back a signed 8x10 of his with him standing next to the large bat.
  11. I send ONE box. I use boxes like these (http://www.officemax.com/omax/catalog/sku.jsp?skuId=21135380&searchString=&productId=ARS22935&category_Id=664), only not that size (pick the smallest size that will hold a ball). Put some double-sided foam tape on the outside of the box such that the player can remove the backing and seal the box back. When YOU close it, just use some packing tape to secure the front flap (so the flap goes over the foam tape). So, instead of tucking-in the flap, leave it on the outside. Include a postage-paid self-addressed label that the player can peel off and cover up the label already on the box. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if I need to clarify anything. I use the padded envelopes. I address one to whom I'm sending to and the other with my address on it. I put my baseball, pen and note inside a zip-loc bag. The ones with the white tab to open and close with. I fold the padded envelope in half and add the zip loc bag and send. I put 5 stamps onto the return envelope and take the package to the post office to pay to ship. Here's 2 different ways to choose from. Pick what you like.
  12. I have an extra Podsednik. What I need from your list are Barrelman, Weeks and Hardy nesting dolls. It wouldn't matter to me which ones you would want to trade for.
  13. Click on "Mail Order" shipping is $4.00
  14. I'm pretty sure the person who is doing the Gamel signing is a member of the Beckett boards.
  15. Counsell take about 8 months to reply, McClung is pretty good, and DiFelice is pretty much unknown.
  16. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/17/opinion/17glanvillefans.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1&hp&oref=slogin Here is a where Doug Glanville's unreturned mail went. Very good article...quick read
  17. I seen Braun will be signing at Ball Four, but they didn't list prices. Well, I called and now I know why. $99 for flat/ball $125 for a premium.
  18. I went to Manitoba park for the block party. I didn't want to be in the situation of Branyan possibly no showing at Jeff's. I was able to get Parra, Mota, and Bill Castro on baseballs. Anyone go to Mitchell Park? Did Branyan show up there?
  19. They start at 11 but the players don't arrive until 11:30 or so. So Branyan could make it I'm sure, but you're right Stetter seems to be double-booked. Mike Rivera was double booked the same a few weeks ago, and they changed the date of the Sentry signing.
  20. block party players are up They have Russell Branyan listed as attending though. He's suppose to be at Jeff's.
