  1. I have been summoned...who dares wake the anti-smart?
  2. Shouldn't we focus solely on Bush in the second half of the season? I think the real Dave Bush appears from July on.
  3. There goes the entertainment factor down the drain. Fare well snarky comments! FARE THEE WELL!
  4. A member of the media gets tired of fans ripping him and fights back. Sly Stallone is TH in The Pen IS a Sword - next on Fox. I certainly don't condone putting Adam's personal info up on JSOnline.com, but I sure understand Tom arguing with fans in the comments section. You have no idea how insulting people can be. Who among us doesn't love being called an idiot while doing one's job? I KNOW I LOVE IT! The best part, those calling names often have facts wrong. And not a little bit wrong, but miles away from right, wrong. Alas, one does have to take the high road, and TH should not have put Adam's contact info up for public comsumption. But to call for Tom to be fired over this is a tad over the top. One other thing - I think Tom does a damn good job covering the team. Often times he seems to be the only one asking Mr. Yost tough questions. Plus, he's an entertaining writer. But again, that doesn't excuse what he/they did to Adam. Owen P.S. So who's getting tired of all the jumping on and off the Packer bandwagon? It's the new excersize craze!
  5. HA! You're right. I missed the almost, thus proving your point.
  6. To be fair, ESPN people almost always get overly defensive when any athlete or coach criticizes a member of the media, whether its deserved or not. And sweeping generalizations are always right.
  7. This fight has embarrased the entire state and will be the beginning of the end. This team will never win another game and kittens will die.
  8. Relax, it's just a shoving match. Hell, I just got into a shoving match with myself here in GB. I seriously had it coming and better watch my mouth or there will be a beat down.
  9. So, Babe Ruth gets a pass? I don't think he does. But he's very dead, so it's difficult to take him to task. Someone get Dionne Warwick in here so that we can contact him.
  10. Hank Aaron Homers: Mickey Mantle # 500: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1Y0hKB2dqo Ted Williams: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwogLVGtDa8&feature=related Ken Boyer WS grand slam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj2z5L04hqI&feature=related Kirby Puckett: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y3m_mY02mo&feature=related Babe Ruth (go to the end of the video) watches his go...but he was freakin' Babe Ruth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB1Z-7yDSAY What do these have in common? They all run instead of admire. Act like you've been there.
  11. I thought it was silly for Braun to sit and watch the ball fly out. Why give the other team any ammo against you?
  12. Chacon should be in jail and if Chacon's account is correct, Ed Wade should be fired. Man, what a bunch of morons.
  13. To me, both places are great, but Wrigley gets the nod because of all that history. Baseball's history is part of what makes it special, and the idea that you can go somewhere that Babe Ruth graced is pretty cool. Places like it and Fenway are truly amazing in a world filled with Metrodomes.
  14. I agree with you re: Yost. This, of course means that all the hand wringing over Yost is pointless. The best move the Brewers could have made would have been to bring Walt Jocketty, who has been shown to be the best GM in terms of acquiring players who will win you games. With that said, I like the job Melvin has done. He hasn't been perfect, but he's been better than most.
  15. I have a question that may seem silly, so forgive me if this is the case. If Yost IS the issue, how many games do you think he has cost the team this year? And, is it possible to guess how many games he's won for the team this year? My guess, and it's only a guess, is that it's a wash. ----- Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=378741#p378741 Original Lead: viewtopic.php?t=12043
  16. I PM'd you and took back the strike ... but if you feel that you can sit and taunt the moderators and get all hotheaded with other users, then you've got the wrong message board. Man, this has to be the most sensitive message board I've ever been on. Maybe that's a good thing as I'm watching other message boards flame out.
  17. Great, now you've maken an assm out of u and ption!
  18. This assumes that Justice doesn't speak to Brewer insiders...I would imagine he does and I imagine it informed his report...
  19. If his main agenda was to get a TV job, he wouldn't go after the Milwaukee Brewers. It's like picking on the fat, uncoordinated kid in school. As for your points on Olsen, yes, he does have sources, but if you listen to him long enough, you can see where his loyalties lie. He hardly ever criticizes the Brewers. In fact, he will go out of his way to praise a move by Yost. In fact, that's true of WAUK down the line, they will go out of their way to praise every local team, while WSSP will go out of their way to rip everything about the local teams. Oh, if we only had a legitimate sports talk station in town. Holds up shiny object while chanting "ESPN1070.com streams, ESPN1070.com streams, ESPN1070.com streams...Brewer and Packer talk from 3-6 with the 87th best talk show in Wisconsin, Heller and Murphy..."
  20. Richard Justice is more respected in baseball circles than Tom Haudricourt will ever be. Furthermore, if Haudricourt would report something like this, his access to the Brewers (interviews, news) suddenly ends. How do you know this? How do I know what? That Justice is more respected than Haudricourt? Or that his access would dry up? Sorry - that Justice is more respected thank Haudricourt...

  22. Richard Justice told us he was in the Brewer's clubhouse in Houston. I'm going to do something crazy here…I'm going to believe him. I know, I know, crazy talk! Does anyone see the silliness in critiquing Justice for not being in the Brewers clubhouse when those making the critique have no facts to back up their assertion? So, essentially they are critiquing Justice for not doing his homework...when they haven't done their homework. Oy.
  23. I think you're right for the most part, but he's not the first guy to come on our show to talk about Prince's attitude.
  24. He said Prince has an attitude problem, probably because he's slumping. We'll podcast it if you'd like to listen.
