Hunter Morris in a big way. I was convinced he was going to be our starting first baseman for years. He had a good year for Wisconsin and dominated AA. I had every autographed card he had, a signed bat, bobble head, everything. Total let down.

I watched the last couple Derby's with the TV on mute. Couldn't stand listening to berman after the derby in Arizona when he kept calling out all of the surrounding cities. That was obnoxious.

Any word as to why he was released? Is the back injury serious? His numbers were pretty good.

The guy is a winner. What would it hurt for someone to give him a minor league deal? He'd probably make a pretty decent 1b or LF. I'm sure he has tons of power, dude is huge. The hate for him has always bothered me. I'd sign him and put him in low A ball and see what happens. I don't think anyone's talking about him being in the majors right away.

With us drafting as poorly as we were those years, having those couple of decent years of lohse is probably more productive than anyone we would have drafted anyway. Looking through previous draft results is extremely depressing. I wouldn't be as worried about the wasted opportunity from the 2013 draft as I am about the wasted picks from the 2012 draft.

The comments section on mlbtr for the luc for tda article was quite funny. A bunch of Mets fans saying how they should trade Flores for luc because of the almost trade last year....never mind we already have a better ss than Flores that we got for nothing this last off-season and how luc wouldn't be worth wheeler.

There could be a great package put together by Cleveland for Luc and Smith together. Even if Frazier and zimmer are untouchable (Frazier would be awesome though!). I'd push for something like this. Man, I really wish Colorado was competitive. They have nice pieces in their farm system and a black hole at catcher. Luc in a line up with arenado, Gonzalez, blackmon, and story would be really strong. Too bad their pitching is garbage.
