    This may have been addressed before, but since there is a player to be named coming to Milwaukee from Detroit, can the tigers make a rule 5 pick for the brewers and trade him immediately? With us picking 5th and Detroit picking 9th, there are definitely opportunities to improve.

    He does. Don't even bother responding to his Braun at 3B obsession. Nice... now how about addressing my objections to giving up assets that could be used for either plus bats or pitching prospects for a short-term "fix" for a CF position that is not broken, particularly when there is a possible short-term option in the form of Michael Reed that is already on the 40-man roster? And my only mention of Braun and third base was to note that moving Santana from center field was the same kind of mistake the Brewers made about eight years ago with Braun. Honestly, I don't really have a problem with using in house options to cover center until Phillips is ready. I really don't think anyone is advocating trading away anything of value to get a Stopgap centerfielder. Reed and Santana are just fine with me. And moving Braun to the outfield was most certainly not a mistake. Great bat, decent defensive LF> Great bat, absolutely terrible defensive 3B

    Whoa, hold on there Clancy! I hope you don't actually believe that Braun should have stayed at third base. He was absolutely atrocious there defensively. That revolving door of third baseman did have a couple of all stars by the way, so I think it was for the best.

    I like Khris as much as the next guy but I'd give him up in a heartbeat for the gamble of Bundy reaching his potential.

    Vogelbachs defense is a bigger negative than his bat is a positive. Worse than CJ Cron. I dont think id give his weight in cheeseburgers for him. Hard pass.

    Not a terrible deal, but it depends if you think Hedges can ever hit the ball. I know he's supposed to be an elite catcher, but he's had some horrific batting seasons of late, including his first one in the majors. I'm not sure San Diego is a team that is buying right now, either. Agreed about Hedges hitting but he's still just 23 so he has some time. I think them being buyers or sellers will depend on what kind of trade interest they get in Matt Kemp.

    How about a segura and lucroy trade to san diego? They need a ss and can build a package involving Austin Hedges to come back to us.

    White sox do match up fairly well for luc. Get Fulmer and Montas. 2 top 100 prospects is a good return for him. The white sox system isnt all that deep. Maybe try to add trayce thompson. He'd add some pop to the bench and is capable at all 3 OF positions.

    With gatewood and most likely lara competing for 3b in the near future, i dont think a long term (3+ years) trade makes a whole lot of sense. At least not until we have some idea as to what we have in them. Stopgap 3b for the next couple years works for me. Id rather they target a long term 1b for now.

    Atlanta got so much for gattis strictly off of hype. There is no way he is worth the return he got Atlanta. Nice power, below average defense, and a mediocre batting average. I have nevet been all that impressed by him.

    The thing is, giving out bobbles literally costs the team nothing and brings huge attendance numbers. The sponsors pay for the bobbles to be made and its all profit for the team. No reason not to give out 10 in a season.

    I really doubt it was phillips for fiers. Im betting it was more like moran, santana, and hader for gomez but including fiers upgraded moran to phillips and got houser involved. When my buddy first called me about the mets trade, my only response was "why? that deal is garbage!". When news of the astros deal dropped, totally different response! The deal that got made is so much better for us, even with Mike's no hitter. I'm thinking most likely 3 of the 4 turn into solid major leaguers.

    I'd trade coulter for lamb in a second. I dont believe in clint at all. Id trade any of the outfielders except phillips and clark. I think roache should probably be moved to 1b. Id look to trade khris davis this offseason too. Santana could play LF next season. There are moves to make from our stockpile of outfielders that could upgrade the postions of need. The potential ss/3b impact guys like lara and gatewood are still so far away that some trades need to happen.
