  1. He's not as durable as Reggie unfortunately. I would be totally fine with limiting his snaps until December. We don't need Watt playing his heart out to beat Detroit in October. Just keep him on the field when you really need him. I really, really hope they can find a way to make that work.
  2. Williams is an interesting one... 2nd most efficient slot WR in 2019 and known as a WR who will block too. Who knows, but he would seem to fit exactly what the Packers like.
  3. Hey the Raiders just cut our slot WR too.
  4. Sort of an odd take. They signed the Smith Bros two offseasons ago, were in on trading for Mack and signing Allen Robinson. This isn't Ted Thompson anymore.
  5. Lowry is such a disappointment. I can't fault them for the extension they gave him as he looked like a young ascending player that would have been a bargain if that continued. He just never got better.
  6. And also whether the Packers want him which I'm going to guess they don't. If he actually wants a contender, Pittsburgh is in a lot of trouble. They're coming back worse, not better.
  7. They're going to need a RB anyway if both guys leave, but I know the Packers are more bullish than most about Dillon's role in the passing game. I think it's safe to say Williams is gone. They'd have signed him by now. Jones might have a chance if the market isn't there, but I'd say it's like 10% that he stays. For some reason I see him in Buffalo.
  8. He's not in because he didn't talk to the media during his career. He can't get it now unless it's by the geezer committee. That it took Owens 3 tries to get in was a joke. He just had the volume that they couldn't get away with doing it forever. He was good enough over those 7 years that everyone can see he should be there.
  9. 4th and 26 doesn't even compare IMO. That's one play in a competitive game that should never have happened. Yes, the Packers should not have punted. But the Packers also got the ball in OT and Favre immediately heaved it up for no good reason. It was also a divisional game before a CCG that the Packers also would have been dogs in. Seattle was about eight separate "Huh?" plays in rapid succession, at the end of a game the Packers completely dominated. If one of them doesn't happen, we likely still win the game. It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen, not just for the Packers, but for any NFL game, ever.
  10. Wow. They are bullish, lol. I guess if the division is as bad as people think, the top teams may do some record-padding. This wouldn't REALLY surprise me, but it's nice to see someone else thinks they might be alright.
  11. I think I know what people are going to say but what are the thoughts on Richard Sherman? Had a bad year but all of SF did. Might still have gas. Not SUPER old yet, perhaps not that expensive, and probably willing to sign an incentive-laden deal. Doesn't have to be "the guy" either.
  12. You're mixing seasons. NE wasn't 16-0 and the Packers had beaten them earlier that season in a great game at Lambeau. They were a 9pt dog though.
  13. You always have a chance. But that Giants team had a front 7 much like Tampa's that was much better suited to put pressure on Brady (which they did) than the Packers were. That Giants team was actually really good, they had just a season marred by injuries and a suspension, both years they won, really. They got everyone back toward the end and it showed.
  14. That one never bugged me so much simply because I didn't think GB had a chance to beat the 18-0 Pats.
  15. Seattle will never be surpassed. It was the worst game, but also the best Packers team that went down. 4th and 26 was bad, but the Packers are still a long shot even if they win. The game a few weeks ago is just another blah loss, but not even on the level of the Seattle game. The Super Bowl loss hurt, but they just got beat. Another one that was rough for me was the 98 Wild Card in SF because it was such a blatantly missed call that cost the game. The list of these is really quite depressing. Rodgers kicking the ball into a DL's hands in '09 was awful too. He had played such a great game.
  16. That means nothing. Momentum can change on a dime and scores can happen quickly regardless of the pace up until that point. If you're up against a punchless offense I can understand this argument but Seattle always had the capability of turning it around. Once they got the ball in OT I knew there was no way we were keeping them out of the endzone despite how the first 55 minutes of the game went. There was zero reason to go down on that play in that situation. Burnett had a pretty decent chance to score but at the very least he would have gotten in FG range. What argument? I wasn't saying anything about the slide. I didn't even quote you. I was just pointing out they'd been hapless and it was ridiculous the Packers lost that game.
  17. If I had to guess based on how this seems to be going, they'll offer 4 pack holders a chance to redeem the value of those packs to buy tickets each month. It will just be after the other groups have had their bite at the apple. That's just a guess.
  18. Seattle's only score to that point was I think a fake punt or FG. Their offense did literally nothing the entire game.
  19. The Ramirez is just making me realize how long it's been since this team had a viable 3B they developed. Cirillo? I'm not going to count Bill Hall.
  20. The Seattle loss was an inexcusable comedy of events that a 12-year-old playing Madden could have coached them out of. It was so bad that if one of the 7 or 8 things that led to the collapse hadn't happened, they probably still win the game. They probably STILL win the game if just the 2-pt conversion is missed. The Tampa loss was just a bunch of missed opportunities and not executing the way they had most of the year, compounded by a very good defense and missing the best OL in the league. It stung, but nowhere near Seattle game.
  21. What's funny is that A-Ram was arguably better all-around than Fielder who we had just lost. It was the pitching on the '12 that sunk them. Specifically the pen if memory serves. But that offense was very, very good. Sorry to derail.
  22. I'd sign Braun for the right (low) price. He had a very good year in 2019. I don't have any doubts he can give you 250 good at bats. It all depends on what the alternative is. I'd rather have Braun than Ben Gamel. And I'd want to skip ST too. I couldn't care less about that.
  23. Probably because he's an old declining player but the Brewers are so barren at the position it really doesn't make a difference.
  24. WR, like OL, is a position you can really draft every year. You basically need 3 good ones to have a good offense. They don't age all that well, get hurt a lot, give you lots of options on offense. You can never have too many of either.
