  1. Toronto isn't providing a "blueprint." Literally anyone who follows basketball knows that right now you force Giannis outside. It's a lot harder to do than it sounds. The roster was literally built for that purpose, to surround him with shooters so that even if you did it, they would still beat you shooting threes. We've consistently not hit shots this series, putting more pressure on him than usual. If it was as simple as building a Giannis wall then Giannis would suck because he's pretty blah from the perimeter. However, I agree with the rest. The complexion of the league will be way different. I doubt 60 wins happens again, but it doesn't necessarily have to. I'm one that thinks it's really hard to get back to where they are, so I'm pretty devasted. But one silver living if you can call it that, is that if they do get back here it's not likely GSW is the same juggernaut they are now. Should be a little better distribution across the league
  2. I don't think they were over-rated. When a team wins 60 games you aren't over-rated. This team right now does NOT look like the team we watched all season long. They came upon a team that is hitting their stride at the right time and got kicked in the teeth every time they made even a small mistake. Perhaps we peaked too soon? I will say this - I don't think either team in the East will beat GS anyway. Let's hope they learn from this and come back in October older and wiser. I don't think either team will beat them. But like 2001, I feel the Buicks would make it more exciting for everyone outside Toronto. And that sucks. They simply don't have the personnel to wall off Giannis. Kudos to the Raptors, but that Warriors lineup isn't going to miss shots like we have. IMO that's a five game series tops.
  3. Game 3 is going to haunt Milwaukee for a long time. There will be a lot of rah rah great year we have Giannis talk when people are coping with this Saturday but the stars aligned for the Bucks to have the offense they did this season. Hard to see that happening again. Just another gut punch. Not quite as bad as the NLCS but somewhere between that one of 10 Packers playoff meltdowns.
  4. Kinda expect 2001 ECF game 7 type. Come out looking ok, maybe get a decent lead, then choke it away and end up losing by 15. Don't think it'll be super fun to watch.
  5. The level of intensity goes up. Giannis starts tightening up and playing more out of control. I can't think of ONE single great player who's gone from not winning a series to carrying his team to the NBA Championship. Magic would be the closest and he had Kareem. Jordan had to go through Detroit and get the crap beat out of him. They did something similar, they just hammered him when he got to the line. LeBron had to get through Boston and their big 3. Every great has to overcome some part of their game that's lacking. With Giannis, his shooting touch, even from 8-10 feet needs work, and he needs to stop forcing things without a plan while running into the paint out of control. Nobody else's wall has a Kawhi brick either. Let's not forget that. He's phenomenal and gets to adjust to playing the same guy 6-7 times. Something he has a lot more experience doing than Giannis does.
  6. Still likely true that the Fiserv visitors locker is soaked is champagne right now without Lopez. We've outplayed them 1/5 and he squeaked one for us with his 30 night.
  7. Everyone knows that already. You can't pull it off without. Leonard/Ibaka type tandem. And even then, he still gets his points. Usually he's been bailed out by our shooters. That hasn't happened.
  8. Overstated, maybe, but it's a factor, and one they mitigated by forcing the Bucks into half court way too often. That blowout game was full transition and you saw what happened. They adjusted after that and dominated since.
  9. I'm not giving up on them just yet. I thought it'd be a 6 game series, it'll be a 7 game series. I am. This team doesn't have the fortitude to win in their house. Not right now anyway.
  10. They choked. Hard to say anything else about the fourth.
  11. We won't even get a shot because we bounced it off our own leg. Bledsoe with another dumb drive and has no idea where he's going. Putrid finish. And an off-season to think about it.
  12. Bledose bricking a three to seal it. Fits.
  13. This ain't refs man. It's the Bucks. And they have about two minutes to save this season.
  14. We're seeing what separates Kawhi/Durant/LeBron from Giannis at THIS point in his career. Kawhi isn't forcing things and forcing bad turnovers. 8 minutes to go. We can't be playing from behind in the final couple minutes or we're in trouble. Agree and this is also why it's a problem in this type of game, this late, when your best player isn't a great shooter.
  15. Once again, this is not why we're losing. If it were, we'd be down 20. It's that we are shooting 8/26 and haven't shot well from three the entire series. The Bucks offense (re: Toronto's defense) is why we are going down, if we do.
  16. Actually liked that small lineup we had in for a few minutes
  17. I say this no matter what team does it, but you shouldn't be able to call timeout as you're falling or rolling around on the floor. Reminds me of the old days where you could call one midair as you flew out of bounds. It's dumb, end it.
  18. He's a better ball handler than most 7 footers but I don't know why he randomly tries to be Allen Iverson
  19. If Bledsoe is hitting Middleton can afford that stat line. Another reason I'd say he's been just fine tonight. I think sometimes people need reasons for a guy to fit a predetermined judgement of a player.
  20. Middleton has taken three shots. I had to look because I only recalled one .six assists and seven boards.
  21. Most important thing is Giannis keeps attacking and finding outlets when necessary. Have to feel good about this one. Also have to feel like it's going 7.
  22. Bledsoe has been fine tonight. He's getting inside and his mid-range is hitting. Couple dumb passes, but he's been fine.
  23. I don't want to overstate this but Giannis has not been an MVP this series. A cursory glance at the box score and he looks better than he's been. But just on eye test if you've been watching, he's been extremely disappointing. They have really minimized him and it's really impressive but incredibly frustrating to watch
  24. I've had enough of Mirotic. The way that Lopez wasn't a good option in Boston, he's just a good weapon in this matchup. He is WAY too trigger happy.
