  1. I think it's just two really good teams going at it and a reminder that a play or two can shift things drastically when you're talking about the best athletes in the world. Middleton hits that three in G3 and this is possibly a lay down game and sweep. But he didn't. Then all it takes is a discouraging moment or two early on and you're back where you were again. I have no read on this. I could see the Bucks coming home and regaining form or just farting out and losing the next two. It's a young team. Nothing would surprise me after this flat tire. There has to be some adjustment made to get the offensive cadence back though. They've got to get Giannis better looks somehow. That's Bud's job though.
  2. I basically agree. The Bucks did do just that in 01 though, going up 2-0, down 3-2, then won in 7, against Charlotte. They lost game 5 in Philly in a game many thought decided the series, went right down to the wire, 89-88. Still remember the photo on the front of the JS.
  3. Shot 35 and 41% in a 23 point loss and a 10 pt win against the Bucks. The Bucks shot 25 and 18% in those two games, interestingly enough. 9/35 and 7/39, ouch. The "3 pt defense" thing is just lazy surface level analysis. You sound like the people who turn on a Packer game and just say the team needs someone like Ray Nitschke to solve their problems. That is not even on the radar of the Bucks issues right now. Their offense isn't gelling at all in large part due to the Raps. There are a few problems, but most of them are on offense. And an overall lack of effort tonight.
  4. You guys still chirping about the 3 point defense are never going to give up, but that has next to nothing to do with these losses. They are getting out hustled, Giannis is out of rhythm completely and instead of the usual cadence, they are just kind of dribbling into traffic and launching prayers. And they are bricking waaaaaay too many good looks.
  5. I'm totally convinced now that whoever comes out of this is getting waxed by GSW.
  6. Still think Bucks will win it, just think it's going 7 now. Giannis can't play like this though. He's been awful.
  7. Yup. Lol, what. Talk about cherry picked nonsense.
  8. MVP Giannis has looked pretty human for two games.
  9. This game is still within range if we can get any kind of 8-0 run together.
  10. No. Not defending the 3 will. Another 20% from the line isn't enough points with all they give up on open looks from the perimeter. Could see this coming all season long. Can they overcome it? I suppose. But it will be why they lose, if they lose. It isn't though. They've done that all year, with the difference being they've made their own threes. They are bricking a ton of wide open looks. This game is like most of their games if they're hitting half of those.
  11. Toast. We can't shoot. They hit everything when left open.
  12. If Giannis is going to miss FTs make it worth and chuck one at Drake's teeth. So maybe aim for the guy next to him.
  13. Down 10, not ideal, but within striking. Can disappear in minutes of game action. Stay within 10 into the 4th. Not really worried yet.
  14. I like the crew minus the terrible sideline reporter who just sounds so rehearsed and fake.
  15. Is Middleton the Bucks designated FT shooter? Why wouldn't it be Brogdon?
  16. Of course, but the point is if you take Kerr out of the play Michael can still hit the three. So can Giannis, really, he's gotten a lot better, but it's the one part of his game that most people agree is still going to improve.
  17. I did. I always said he was the most dominant force, but absolutely not the best player. I can't give that praise to guy that shoots 50% from the line. Just can't. That really makes it sound like impact on winning is not your measurement of what makes the best player. Don't you think it should be? It depends how you measure that I guess. LAL probably would've won 8 straight titles with Duncan instead of Shaq, who would have deflected all praise to Kobe while being mostly as effective and hitting a lot more FTs.
  18. My issue with Giannis right now is that, if the Bucks are trailing late in a game, I'm nervous if he does anything besides dunk, and I'm shaking when he's attempting free throws. I think he is the MVP, but it isn't very different from what many said about LeBron before he became a better shooter. If the lane is walled off you want Giannis to pass to George Hill or Middleton. Take someone like KD, and you have to protect his drive but he can also decide to shoot a 3 right over you. It's not a huge criticism, but it's a valid one nonetheless. It's normal for people to take what a guy is worst at and imagine how good he could be.
  19. I did. I always said he was the most dominant force, but absolutely not the best player. I can't give that praise to guy that shoots 50% from the line. Just can't.
  20. Reddick is probably one of the most underrated players of the last decade.
  21. LeBron did team up with Mike Miller and Korver. And Ray Allen.
  22. The Bucks are 10-2 in the playoffs. Walling off the lane for Giannis is a) hard and b) often not enough. I know everyone is excited and the spacing between games lends itself to overanalyzing, but it is kind of amusing how everybody tries to re-invent the wheel when they lose a game. I mean I'm guilty of it too, but the nature of 7-game series is sort of just keep being yourself and you'll get to four faster. It's kind of a given you'll drop a game here and there if for no other reason than you have a bad shooting night.
  23. Zippo. He's another terrible early round pick. He was on the bubble for even making the team next year. Anything better than a conditional 7th rounder would surprise me. A 6th would be a win.
  24. Shaq couldn't shoot though. That was masked by Kobe and Wade or he probably would have gotten about as far as Dwight Howard. What the Warriors are doing without Durant is completely match-up driven. The struggle they had against LeBron vs. what happened when they got KD says enough. The "Warriors are more efficient without Durant" mantra floating around needs to stop. KD being hurt for a week or two != what they've done with him for two years, which is totally embarrass the league. I would rather have Giannis but like I said, if I'm picking guys to win a game tonight, I'm taking KD before him.
  25. Seemed like every game I was checking the Warriors score to see them down by 18 and then I'd get an alert an hour later that they won. You're never safe with those guys.
