  1. Yes. I was just to say essentially the same thing (though less eloquently). Just because we pay him, doesn't mean we play him. He still has to produce and beat out others. Yes, he will get more chances, but his playing time shouldn't be automatic.
  2. I guess it depends on whether or not you think we can keep Adames? If you think he is going to cost too much, Turang is the obvious replacement. He is projected to be above average defensively at SS and as his bat proves it is ready, one has to wonder which of the main 3 arbitration level players they will try to keep - if they can keep any (Adames, Burnes, or Woo).
  3. Maybe BF.com should pick a favorite "section". Then when you go to the game, complain loudly about posts in the IGT and then see who notices and ask for their screen name. 😄
  4. Got to wait until next year for that one. 😉
  5. Not nit picking your post... just trying to remember if Cirillo actually played SS? Obviously the lion share of his time was 3B, but I couldn't remember if he played any SS early in his career? I think Turang has better range than either of them and thus will be a better defensive player (though Jeff at 3B was excellent). Offensively, I'd be happy if he was between the "Lo"s.
  6. My therapist says that I need closure.
  7. I'll admit that I did have some ROY thought go through my head recently, but I'm not quite ready to anoint him as the next Yount either. Always got to love a rookie starting well though. Really takes that initial pressure off him. Even Wiemer's more modest, but still good start is a positive sign for the kid. They will have some struggles at some point this year, but at least they cleared the first hump.
  8. Yes, Boston is probably our worst case match up, but the Celtics did need 7 games (yes, 3 of those wins weren't pretty) to get past the Bucks last year. And the playoffs are the playoffs... intensity and game plans amp up. The regular season has begun to feel like the NFL preseason --- kind of vanilla. I do kind of wonder what happened to the Buck's defensive improvement against the 3 this year... it seems to be waning as the season wears on. Hopefully that bounces back in a 7 game series (Bucks in 6) against Boston.
  9. Mine is Jason Alexander or Edrian Robinson. I guess I can always revert to Seinfeld jokes...
  10. I watched this game from tip to finish and it was really, really, really bad. I sort of thought the same thing about them "having our number". And I'd certainly rather see the 76ers than the Celtics. But Boston was also ridiculously hot from 3pt land. That game was done half way through the 2nd. Boston certainly has the ability to do that (and did that in the playoffs to us), so our 3pt D does need some work. But I don't see much difference between last year's Boston team and this year's. We have Mids back, plus Crowder to defend Tatum (though he oddly didn't play much until the game was out of hand). With my "cream and green" colored glasses on, I kind of wonder if they held back their main defensive game plan for the playoffs. Either way, it will be a competitive series and I feel better about it this year than last.
  11. Exactly. I'd love to think Love is going to be an All-Pro next year, but Rodgers and Favre's early years included growing pains. Might as well focus on the youth this year and expect a 6 win season. Then our salary cap is "cleaner" and we have more flexibility to do something. Or perhaps even learn that Love isn't the QB we need.
  12. I don't see that changing after the trade. This is going to be a reboot year. Clear the salary cap of his $40M, focus on the draft and Love's development, then go after FA holes next year.
  13. We are in the NFL news deadzone... waiting for the Rodgers trade, waiting for the NFL draft, waiting for the LouisEly NFL Draft prediction...
  14. Boston was unconscious with their 3s last night. Granted, our D there is still a bit weak. Frankly, I think it was good...leave the Bucks with a bitter taste in their mouths and remind them the playoffs won't be easy.
  15. Remind me why the Twins don't have a roof again? And the Vikings do? 😂
  16. Hopefully a happy surprise that we still have him then?
  17. What is a "chalk" bracket?
  18. Regardless, he will grouse about not ever drafting a 1B in the first round....
  19. What does surprise you? 🤔😅
  20. Yeah, I'm saying let him quick pitch. That will simplify the decisions and remove it from the Ump. You step in the box, and the pitcher can pitch. If you need a second to get set, raise your hand to get set. Sometimes the older, simpler rules are the easier ones. Trying to get too cute with the pitch clock is going too far, IMO.
  21. Meh... that is one item that should be fixed. Used to be the batter just held up his hand (i.e. Braun) to get set. If you are in the box, you are in the box. The pitcher shouldn't be focusing on the catcher and not be worried about if the batter is looking or not.
  22. Because it is what I do, I did the math to breakout the numbers a bit more. Oddly, this is one area to not want to be the Mets. But plenty of people getting 1.5-5x the dollar per viewer share than we. Certainly "potential" viewers contributes to that, but Milwaukee viewership has been pretty steady for a while (result of winning for many years). Revenue Rate RR/Brewers RR Colorado Rockies $ 57,000,000 15,000 $ 3,800 495% Detroit Tigers $ 60,000,000 47,000 $ 1,277 166% Houston Astros $ 73,000,000 109,000 $ 670 87% KC Royals $ 45,000,000 37,000 $ 1,216 158% LA Angels $ 112,000,000 47,000 $ 2,383 311% LA Dodgers $ 196,000,000 120,000 $ 1,633 213% Miami Marlins $ 49,000,000 11,000 $ 4,455 580% Milwaukee Brewers $ 33,000,000 43,000 $ 767 100% Minnesota Twins $ 42,000,000 47,000 $ 894 116% NYM $ 88,000,000 180,000 $ 489 64% Revenue Rate is simply dividing Revenue by Viewer Share Ratio is simply everyone's RR divided by Brewer RR as a percentage.
  23. Watching the MLB.TV feed (not coincidentally after getting my T-Mobile free MLB.TV pass), and I see probably the best MLB commercial ever... Daniel Vogelbach is at first and you hear his thoughts about the rule changes that make it easier to steal second and his plans on getting his first steal ever. You also see the NYM coach and hear his thoughts as he pleads with V to not steal... 😂 I miss Vogey... Edit - Found a link:

  24. Thanks for clarifying. I just grabbed it (and have until April 4th to redeem it). But, like normal TMobile Tuesdays, I assumed you needed to grab it today. Either way I didn't look closely at it. 😉
  25. Hard to know what is real and what is chaff out there, but this seems plausible... 2023 2nd round pick 2024 2nd round pick that can escalate to a first pending Jets playoff situation ...the sticking point is potential 2025 compensation from the Packers to Jets if Rodgers doesn't play in 2024. If that is true, I think the compensation is fair and I'd agree the Pack should hold fast to avoid 2025 contingencies.
