EDIT: Southpaw, I just sent you an invite. I also advanced the league to week 2. Im not sure who hexagrams is. But, his first week got skipped. If he doesnt play his week 2 game ill kick him from the league. GL Hexagrams is my buddy. I thought he played his game though. I'll make sure he doesn't miss a game going forward.

The IT folks on campus fixed my network connection. I can play games online now. Madden would have been worthless without online play.

I bought my regular and blue from CCD about a month after the giveaway. I think I payed $50 for the regular and $100 for the blue.

Here is what I found out from Helena's assistant GM Nick Bowsher about 1 year ago. From Assistant GM Nick Bowsher "We gave away 250 bobbleheads. There were 50 in the variant jersey. We got half of the variant jersey bobble heads. To get the promotion going, a third party purchased 150 bobbleheads to help with our costs. We did not have a full sponsor at the time to get the give away going prior to the giveaway. We paid for most of the bobble head cost and got a minimul sponsorship." "There were 500 total made and 50 of the blue variant out of the 500." "We gave out 250. Third party got 150. We had another 100 we gave to Ryan Braun, staff, sponsors, etc."

Yes. I can play other games. It seems to be an EA thing. I'm hardwired so my network shouldn't be an issue.

Sounds good to me. I am having some problems playing online games. I am living in grad student housing on campus and I can log on the playstation network/madden online, but I cannot connect with anyone to actually play a game. Same thing with Fight Night Round 4. I can play other games online though. I wonder if its some weird EA network thing.

I played my first game in our franchise yesterday. I'm not a fan of the accelerated clock. It goes way too fast. What are your thoughts of playing the traditional 5 minute quarters?

I sent Nolan Ryan a letter back in the day, and he actually took the time to write back and send me an autographed card. Very classy guy. I wish I had saved the letter he sent, but I still have the card.

I'm picking up the game this week, and I'll definitely join the franchise. A couple quick questions... Why are you doing 6 minute quarters instead of the standard 5? Is accelerated clock a new feature? Should we start a new thread for the PS3 Madden league?

Apparently the Brewers and other teams (MLB, NFL, NBA) give away free "Fan Packs" if you shoot them a quick email. According to the thread these fan packs include "team photo (some may be autographed), stickers, calander, ect." I couldn't agree more. As a smaller market club, the Brewers need to do everything possible to maximize player value. If that means keeping JJ down, so be it. It's not like he's raking in AAA.
