  1. I'm not vegan, but I am vegetarian. I made the switch about 10 years ago when I found myself eating nothing but fast food and junk because I was a poor student. Something seemed wrong to me when I could eat at Burger King for $2, but couldn't afford to buy anything healthy. I just decided to cut out meat entirely because it basically eliminated all fast food. I can't really say if I feel any healthier (because its been so long), but I have not gained any weight and I feel good.
  2. I am so bummed out right now. I don't think a trade is necessary. I have a huge man crush on Brian Roberts, but I don't think we need another middle infielder. Is Gamel ready for this? This is a lot of pressure for a rookie. Should we ease him in, or throw him in the deep end and hope he can swim?
  3. NOOOOOOOO! No more talking or retro bobbles. I'm already spending too much on my addiction... uh... hobby.
  4. I probably should have said "If anyone besides Houlie needs one, hit me up."
  5. I have an extra one too. PM me if you are interested.
  6. I tried to use Shazam to pick up the songs at the game, but I wasn't close enough to a speaker. The only song I know for certain is Brauny's new song. Braun - Throw some Ds Remix - Rich Boy (I think he comes out to The Game's verse)
  7. I just read a few comments on HY's blog, and I must say I am disgusted. Someone from BF is trolling his blog saying that everyone on BF hates him. That is so bush league. You might not dig what he is doing, but be a grown up.
  8. I was just checking out HY's blog and webpage, and I saw that he seat hops throughout the ballpark (I really don't care about that). It made me think about the legal issues involved though. If he or someone else catches a milestone ball in a seat that they didn't pay to sit in, do they still have the right to the ball, bat, etc. Any lawyers here?
  9. Its a pretty weak Woot Off so far. No boxes of chorizo either.
  10. I don't know the whole Jenks story. Does anyone have a link?
  11. Wow. I thought we were giving advice based on our college experience. Not taking shots at fellow Brewer fans. I partied, had fun, and graduated Magna *** Laude. College is about growing up, finding yourself, socializing, and getting an education (in and out of lecture halls). For most of us its the last time you will have no major responsibilities. Enjoy it!
  12. I didn't suggest that a student shouldn't focus on academics. I said that a student shouldn't obsess over grades. There is a big difference.
  13. He does sound like quite the tool, but I don't think his demands were unreasonable. A couple bats, tickets, and a photo doesn't seem like too much to ask.
  14. Wow. The clip is a lot longer than I thought it would be. Very cool.
  15. I'm sure it matters in some lines of work, but it never was an issue for me. I applied for hundreds of jobs after I graduated (business/econ major), and only one asked for college transcripts. You're all good if you have a 3.0.
  16. 1. Live ON campus. Do not commute. The extra money you spend on a dorm/meal plan is well worth the experience you will have. 2. Do NOT live with your best friend from high school. A random roommate is the best way to meet new people. 3. Go out. Have fun. This will be the best 4 years of your life. 4. Do not take early AM classes. I had a 2 hour gen ed class "History of the Hebrew Bible." I never went. 5. Don't obsess over grades. Grades aren't that important unless you plan on going to grad school.
  17. I stand corrected. Now I'm glad I didn't pay a lot for the Snappers Nelson bobble.
  18. I really doubt it. I think he'd be a good pickup for a lot of clubs.
  19. Per TH. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/44954177.html I feel bad for him. Would have liked to see him get a hit in a Brewers uniform. (edit: added information to title --1992)
  20. Beat me to it. BOC here I come!
  21. "I'm wondering if something is going on with Billy. Only because Counsell is starting today AND Gamel is coming up. Not that Counsell wasn't due for a start at third anyway." I was thinking the same thing.
  22. "I had one trailer trash queen tell me once that it wasn't a family section so she could swear if she wanted.....then she fell down drunk." Hilarious! "An R-rated movie is advertised appropriately. The Brewers are advertised as family fun. Families have been attending MLB in Milwaukee for about 50 years." Yes. Brewers-Cubs games are advertised as family fun, but we all know about the drunks, fights, and swearing. I'm not saying its right, but its reality.
  23. "Neither me or my wife drink and i cannot fathom why people feel the need to get "blasted" or 'f'ed up'." Because its fun. I avoid Cubs-Brewers games because I never have fun at them. I spend all of my time hating the Cubs fans around me. To parents who bring their kids to Brewers-Cubs games: You know what to expect at the game. Drunks and naughty words. I'm not saying its right, but it is what happens. You have no right to be upset. Its like taking your kids to a R rated movie and complaining that the movie was inappropriate for your kids.
