That's too bad. I loved getting baseball cards from the police as a kid. I was always bummed at the end of the season when they switched from baseball to football. Per Rolling Stone Lou Reed, a massively influential songwriter and guitarist who helped shape nearly fifty years of rock music, died today. The cause of his death has not yet been released, but Reed underwent a liver transplant in May. This is a sad day for all fans of music. RIP Mr. Reed. Hope your walk on the wild side continues wherever you are now.

The tour at Minhas was kinda fun, but the beer was subpar at best. Their liquor was also horrible. I did a Groupon thing on a date and we caught a nice buzz. They won't let you drink on the tour, correct?

Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez has been selected as one of three National League finalists to receive a 2013 Rawlings Gold Glove Award at his position. The winners will be announced on Tuesday at 7 pm CT on ESPN2. Gomez looks to be the first Brewer to win a Gold Glove since 1982. Gomez is joined by Andrew McCutchen (Pirates) and Denard Span (Nationals). The announcement was made this morning via Twitter (@RawlingsSports).

Hanley still isn't 100%. That HBP was huge. I wouldn't mind seeing Holliday or Yadi take one in the ribs, but putting runners on base would be pretty stupid at this point. The Cards cannot get on base on their own and it would certainly fire up the team.

Thornburg? Peralta? I like Thornburg and Peralta, and I hope they have great careers for the Brewers, but they aren't on same level as Archer, Moore, or Cobb.

I'm watching the Rays v Tribe game with my old man and he keeps asking "Why do all these other teams always seem to have good, young pitching and the Brewers don't have a damn thing?" I don't have an answer and it sucks.

What's up with Pirates fans chanting Cueto the entire time he is on the mound? I actually had to mute the tv because its insanely annoying. Pirates fans also made a "whoop" sound during regular season games. What am I missing?
