  1. Mike Maroth has pitched six innings, has a WHIP of 2.00 for the game, and has given up ONE RUN. What would you like us to say? This should be 6-1 Milwaukee right now, at least. At some point, people are going to get frustrated when this is happening every night. I'm glad you're more patient than I am. I suppose you don't think Davey Lopes should have been fired, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. How does a 72-year-old catcher get picked off first base? AAAAAAARGH!!!
  3. Hey, look. A run. Thanks to the blinding wheels of Damian Miller.
  4. Let's just call the double play and move on.
  5. Won't matter. The way they're hitting, they could have back-to-back-to-back perfect games and still find a way to lose all three games.
  6. We haven't hit into a triple play yet. Still haven't. Yay, us.
  7. Granted, it's only four-plus games, but our DHs are hitting .200 so far this season. Maybe it's a really good thing we're not in the American League. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  8. Wow. We got TWO hits. Progress, baby. Now we need to get one of those things called a "run". Hey, Bill, wasn't there a runner on second base in the first inning? Nice job. Maybe you should fill out a scoresheet next game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  9. Wait, you mean that maybe he was hurt and didn't say anything? Or he didn't tell the full truth of the pain? Nah, athletes wouldn't do that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  10. I love that BA just used the term "resurfaces" to describe Mench getting an at-bat.
  11. Could someone shoot me before Sunday? I'm suddenly not looking forward to this trip to Minneapolis.
  12. I have no emotional issues with the no-hitter, because I'm happy as a pig in slop for Verlander. No shame in getting no-hit by a great young pitcher. However, it's worth mentioning that we get shut down by tomato can pitchers all the time.
  13. Firing Yost would give this team a chance of actually fielding the best possible lineup pretty much every game, instead of maybe once a week if Yost rolls the dice properly. I have a Kevin Mench rant stored from the weekend, but I'll leave that be, because it's just piling on at this point.
  14. If this team were even capable of fundamentally sound baseball, they'd be up at least eight right now. Think about that, and you'll better understand why you can't enjoy this "first-place club". When October hits, the Central Division champ, whoever it is, will be bringing pillows to a gunfight.
  15. If we were still in the AL Central, he'd be long gone. Instead, we can't fire him because we're still in first place. It's unfortunate, because if they win the division, he'll probably get a contract extension, which only assures that we won't get any better for however long the extension is for. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. With this pathetic 1-2 at the top of the order, was Ned TRYING to get no-hit?
  17. Hey, this isn't like 1994 when Scott Erickson was freaking terrible. The only way I don't want to see a no-hitter here is if we're going to win. Verlander is a great young pitcher.
  18. So it was a good idea to turn it off at 3-1? Maybe that trip to the Cities next Sunday isn't that great of a Father's Day gift idea after all. Luckily for me, I know about it and could probably nix it in favor of a family trip up the North Shore of Lake Superior or something. Yikes. At this rate, we'll get no-hit by whoever pitches for the Twins next Sunday.
  19. This team apparently is going to do everything in their power to discourage us from being excited.
  20. The Brewers' longest first-place run in club history is 61 days, set in 1982 (August 3 through October 3). The Brewers have currently been in first place for 42 straight days, and being up 6.5 games basically guarantees them another week, even if the Cardinals don't lose and the Brewers don't win. I'm intrigued by this, only because it shows how historically bad this franchise has been, how long we've suffered, and how much we should be enjoying this, no matter how frustrating it can be at times. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Could be worse. He could bat Graffanino cleanup.
  22. Awful job by McCann there. Just awful. I expect that kind of stuff out of catchers who, you know, stink. But thanks! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
