  1. Gantner was talking that he, Gorman, and I think Augustine were going to have to leave early to catch a 5:00 flight to Phoenix for Fantasy Camp...I'm guessing that maybe Robin was on the same flight and was only signing the 5x7 cards in order to speed things along. Just my guess. I have one of Robin's game bats that I was going to have signed and had a 'winning' lottery autograph ticket. I wasn't going to pay $25 for one of the signed cards (I already have plenty of signed Yount memorabilia), so I walked the crowd and gave my ticket to someone in a Yount jersey who was very happy to take it. The highlight for me was coming around the corner of the FSN Wisconsin stage area and all of a sudden being face to face with Craig Counsell. I couldn't believe it...he was just standing there by himself. So I make some quick small talk as I quick fumble for a pen and my ball for him to sign. Turns out he was waiting for Craig Coshun to get there to interview him.
  2. The first thing I thought of when I saw the stance....Gary Sheffield.
  3. I'm working in Pennsylvania abd watching the Pirates feed. I'm not sure if FS Wisconsin caught it, but Carlos V. did not react well to being taken out in favor of Coffey...slamming down the rosin bag when Macha came out, then firing his glove and hat in the dugout, scattering some equipment.
  4. If anybody is planning on attending the 7/18 Beloit Snappers game and will have an extra Aaron Hicks bobblehead, I'd be interested in trading or purchasing. I'd probably also be looking or a Ben Revere that is to be given out in August. I will have an extra Timber Rattlers fan's choice bobblehead to be given away on 9/02, signed Rattler ROMLBs, other goodies for trade. Please let me know if you would be interested.
  5. Driver,Rodgers,Balaga, B. Jones,Neal, Crosby, Sitton, Jones & Goode before game. I got the Matthews 16x20 during play by holding it over the left field fence while Clay was backed up against the wall for Matt Flynn's at bat. Flynn ended up 4-hopping one to short left. Clay finished his signature dropped the marker and chased after the ball. After the game we got Al Harris, James Jones, Clifton, Barnett, Grant and Matthews again. Could have gotten many of the players that signed before the game, as they also signed on their way out. Brandon Underwood was a no-show for some reason.
  6. Had a really good day. My 6-year old son and I came away with: Donald Driver: 16x20 Clay Matthews: 16x20 & 11x14 Aaron Rodgers: Mini-Helmet Ryan Grant: Mini-Helmet & 8x10 Al Harris, Chad Clifton, Mason Crosby, Nick Barnett: Cards Brian Balaga, Brad Jones, Mike Neal, Josh Sitton, James Jones, Brett Goode: Mini-mini-helmets Got there early, left late and had a bit of luck; as Rodgers signed that single auto on his way in and none on his way out.
  7. I'm going also, but I can't be much help here, as it's my first time attending the Driver Game. I just plan on getting there early and having luck on my side. I'm hoping that since it is a charity event, that the players will also be very charitable with their autographs. I'll be the guy with a 6-year old, a backpack and a cardboard carrier for my 16x20s. Good luck!!
  8. The pitcher inproperly pictured is Caleb Thielbar. There is a different photo on the back of the card, which is actually Kyle. Heck pointed this out to me during the T-Rat's Lead-Off Experience Banquet before the start of the season. I had Caleb sign the fromt of the card and Heck sign his photo on the back. a nice little collector's item.
  9. "Have they announced what position he might play? Looks like he is has a 1B glove... " I attended the T-Rats Fan Fest yesterday, and was wondering this also. Isom said he would be playing first and 'filling in' in the outfield.
  10. Under-whelmed by the Yount. Change the number to 45, and BOOM! - There you have Rob Deer in the Easter Sunday game. I was also hoping that the Cooper would actually be a 'bobbing-arm' doll, simulating him trying to force the ball to the ground on his big hit in the ALCS.
  11. I believe that opening day is a new Fang/Bernie Bobblehead. This one will feature the two of them hanging out in the new outfield beach area.
  12. I also had a great time at today's event. I can't go to Spring Training and seldom get to Milwaukee, so I had to make the most of my time at the On Deck by focusing on autographs. I pulled out of Stevens Point at 4:30 and was inside the M.E Center at 6:50. (298th in line by my count) It was alot of running around, but here is what I got: Greg Vaughn - 2 baseball cards Dave Bush - T-Rats Bobblehead Jeff Cirillo - 16x20 Gorman Thomas - ROMLB w/ '79 & '82 AL HR Champ inscription Jim Gantner - 16x20 group photo w/ Molly and Yount (alrteady signed by Paulie) Rickie Weeks - 16x20 Robin Yount - completed my Molly/Yount growth chart poster from 1988. (already signed by Molly) Mat Gamel - ticket stub from 1st HR in St. Louis w/inscription Alcides Escobar - Brewers Mini-Helmet Larry Hisle - two cards All caught up on my Brewer autos - looking foreward to next year.
  13. Jim Edmonds, perhaps?
  14. http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab309/enielie17/GrowthChartPoster3.jpg http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab309/enielie17/Growth%20Chart/GrowthChartPoster2.jpg I'm not loking to sell, just curious as to what you guys think an item like this might go for. It is a growth chart poster that was a stadium give-away in 1988, and is in fair to good condition considering that it is now 22 years old and was on display on my wall for a majority of my teenage years. It measures 75" x 38" and is autographed by Paul Molitor (signed during a meet and greet at a Wisconsin Timber Rattler game last year). I am bringing it to the Brewer's On Deck this Sunday to get signed by Robin.
  15. Doesn't that cost $100 per person though? I got the invite as well, but that is too rich for me... It was $100 per person, but WELL worth it. There were about 25 of us in there. Paul was super-cool, couldn't have been nicer. He took the time to chat with everyone and sign whatever you had. Very outgoing and enthusiastic when talking about his baseball memories and experiences.
  16. Actually- the parking lot is 'open' all the time. 'Open' just means that there is someone manning the road to collect your $3 parking fee. I plan on getting there at around 4:30. I am also a season ticket holder and will be able to participate in a meet and greet during the game in the Leine Lodge. We'll be able to to interact with Mr. Molitor and will also be able to have 2 items autographed by Paul.
  17. Yep. Only difference is that this year they only gave out 500, as opposed to 1,000 last year. The 2007 pose featured Gumby striking the classic 'standing at attention with hands tucked in back pockets' pose.
  18. In a way, I'm a little disappointed about the draft being done in prime-time. For one reason, I'm going to miss the first hour and a half while I'm coaching my son's T-ball team. For another, it really broke up the work day to track this thing on-line. Guess I'll just have to remain productive today.
  19. I'll be there for tomorrow's Fan Fest scrimmage as well as Opening Night! I've been preparing for the cool weather by watching UW-SP play the past two weekends with temps in the low-30s. The cold, not so bad- add in some moisture, now that's bad news.
  20. cnycerveceros, you will get your wish. I live in Point and have been following Jordan's career closely. He was interviewed on a local station over the weekend and stated that we would get at least one, and probably two starts with Syracuse before being called up to assume the 5th spot in the rotation.
  21. I don't know if Uecker is letting us in on the behind-the-scenes or not; but, from listening to Minneapolis sports radio, I understand that Koskie was quite upset at Brewers management for their 'handling' of his situation. Possibly feeling a lack of support and understanding of his condition. I know Uecker has talked down other players on air (Chad Fox for one) who he felt have taken shots at the organization after they have left Milwaukee.
