If I recall correctly, the 2002 roster had either 9 or 10 catchers. There seemed to be an obsession with collecting both catchers and second basemen. -

If nothing, Maker demonstrated that he has the athletic ability to play. I'm really interested in seeing how Vaughn and Brogdon hold up. The Bucks really need one of these guys to be able to be in the rotation.

Oh, agreed that front offices and not players tank. I was just stating that football tends to have less of this due to the nature of the game. Tanking seems to be more of an anomaly in the NFL.

I'm not advocating for this, but I have seen some ideas where the lottery is just tossed out. Each team gets to draft #1 once every 30 years, then #2 and so on. That would be different...

I think in the NFL game, there is more of the "I'm going to get my brains beat in" if I don't compete. Where in basketball (and I played a lot of basketball) you can soft-petal on defense and not get physically pounded.

23 games under and giving away a lottery pick for MCW can't be explained away. Maybe Knight gets hurt in Milwaukee, maybe not. I'm amazingly frustrated that in 17 months the Bucks can lose 23 more games then they win...and we assume the leadership is actually trying to put together a viable product.
