  1. Sad. Just seemed like a good guy/normal guy. I suspect that was a reflection of his true talent. He made something very hard look super-easy.
  2. Co-sign. Please allow me to sign-on to this proclamation as well. I have an admitted irrational distaste for all teams-Minnesota.
  3. Al is correct that a radio station that does not have the rights to the game can broadcast 'updates' and 'discussion' about the game, but cannot do 'play-by-play.' For example, several years ago a radio station in the NYC area broadcast several of their employees @ a Super Bowl party and their discussion of the game (among other things), but could not actually do a recreation of the game.
  4. Ill be there Saturday.
  5. I was wondering that too, I don't think Mike has caught Sheets yet. Not to make this the line-up thread, but given these starters...just asking if this would have make more sense: Hart Braun Prince Hall Russell Cam CC Mike P
  6. If the hill had a point, as previously mentioned, I'd get it. However, just randomly placing hazards on the field (flag pole, too) seems very mini-golf-like. Just feels pretty pointless.
  7. Throw them out the air lock, Brian.
  8. That hill in CF is just dumb. John makes a good point about the seats behind home plate.
  9. I was thinking the same thoughts, IF should be creative. I'd think Craig and Billy up the middle?
  10. The non-move that really got me was not using Cam late in the game. While he is not hitting a lick, he is still the better fielder and could have helped the team there. That, to me,is part of managing that gets away from this staff. The CV move (3 outs/10 pitches)...that one has been addressed enough...but still frustrates me.
  11. Not that line up order matters greatly, but I might have put Cam behind Prince and Russell down one, but whatever. I agree that JJ is a bit of a stretch in the 2-spot, but unless Ned is going to move Ryan there (which I'd be OK with), he didn't have a lot of choices. Good luck to Billy. Might be has last-best shot with the 'Crew.
  12. Bill Hall might get one more real good opportunity to play...
  13. What about Corey Hart hitting #2?
  14. Just off the top of my head (like most things) I just assume that teams are going to win less on the road because of the home team getting the last Ab, players having more of a 'comfort' level @ home and whatever small advantage the home crowd support brings. Not really measurable stuff.
  15. Im totally Ok with with Gabe playing and getting the vast majority of the AB's. However, Cameron still have some vaule even if he is not hitting right now; that would be defense in games where the 'Crew is leading. To me, this is how you 'coach' teams...getting as much vaule from the players you have, as much as you can.
  16. ...So today was a must win? Interesting.
  17. I did see the '78 races and it was cool. Not sure why but I now always sort of pay attention to see if I might score another triple crown winner.
  18. Back up catcher isn't allowed to PH. Ned says.
  19. This is starting to feel like @ Colorado last August...
  20. ...Im still mad about last night...
  21. easy to say now, but I was hoping for Cam in the OF when we got to the 8th...
  22. Maybe Yuku can hit the re-start on this game too.
