  1. Tonight wouldnt be so bad if last night would have turned out better.
  2. I taped BSG from last night, might be time.
  3. 2nd base leads off, 2nd base always leads off...Motta pitches in the 8th especially @ Eastasia.
  4. my dish just came back, but im home alone with some beer...i was going to be quite festive in the in-game...
  5. Agreed on the GS trade, would be one of those that 'should' make both teams better. Obviously long term Yi have more up-side, but not so much that Milwaukee can't off-set it with Wright and then there is an opportunity to target 2 bodies for the back court. Sure hope this could be a trade done in conjunction with moving Redd's contract.
  6. I have done the Club several times and partaken in said nachos. One of the finer moments in life.
  7. That is the way Davey plays the game.
  8. He was a pretty lanky young man. 6-3ish(?). Seemed to have lots of movement in on the RH hitters. Was able to get two guys out chasing a fastball/slider down an in. The kid looked like an athlete (they all looked like athletes). I didn't see much off-speed stuff, an again I wasn't scouting the young man, but it sure seemed like he was bringing some heat and movement. I know he threw harder then Shouse =).
  9. I say get the best 3 bats out there and take our chances (with in reason!). I assume that will be Laporta, Hart and Braun for 09.
  10. I actually was there. Took some kids from the school I work at and while they got a tour of MP, I watched some the of the on-field action. Don't know who he was, but there was a LHP who was pretty tough. Saw him throw for about 15 minutes.
  11. I'd sort of like to seee Boston win, but I'm not sure how they defend Kobe. I'll say LA in 6. Should be a fun series.
  12. I'd have a hard time going on if banned. Woa unto to thee expelled from the kingdom.
  13. Was there tonight as well. Very sweet game. Great atmosphere @ The Keg. I booed Ned too (but he was right). Can we just re-sign Ben now?
  14. Steven A amuses me. Not sure if that is really what he is shooting for, but he crackes me up.
  15. If JJ feels Kendall hitting behind him has a positive effect on him; maybe it does help even though it really can't be measured.
  16. Well turnarounds do have to start someplace. It could be Gabe's hit. Maybe last night we saw Dave Bush turn it around and he will be a solid part of the rotation? Maybe Billy Hall is going to be the best NL PH from here out? Hope so...just hard to ID one moment out of 6 months of baseball.
  17. I like the deal Nate for everyone, save Denver. Maybe they would do this, but be hard to lose Anthony and then add Randolph. I don't know if Jeffries is enough to do this deal.
  18. I agree with Dmiles to the point where he talks about the team needing to build thru the draft and control its younger talent. A commitment to Yi and Bogut is obvious. Sessions...not so sure about. If there is a younger player that we can get in the Redd or whatever trade that is; all the better. Sure would be nice to get a player in this draft that can defend someone... ...That said, if a trade for Davis works out, sweet!
  19. While I don't really want to trade Redd in the division (not that it matters as much in the NBA), it would be nice if Cleveland was a better match. They have a need for a #2 that can score and certainly have already expressed a desire for Redd. Just don't really look like a good match at all. I'd be for T-Mac. My concern on that one is I'm not sure how much T-Mac would be for the Bucks. I suspect he would come down with his back issue, as well as Terrel Branson's ankle. I wonder if GS would consider a sign and trade if Yi was involved? Maybe Yi and Redd for Davis? I think the money could work out.
  20. Screw objectivity -- Very amusing and words to live by!
  21. Yet we were fine with the way Turnbow finished the year? I highly doubted beaning 1 batter would ruin wise's career. That would be a little far fetched. I wasn't 'fine' with how Turnbow finished last year, but I guess DM was. I guess the point I was trying to make about Matt was not that hitting one batter is going to ruin his career, but that how he pitched for the remainder of last season simply made it rather hard for the brain-trust to have him included as an option this year. Maybe that was the wrong decision, but certainly logical.
