I enjoyed the trip to the park. Even though we got beat, Ben threw pretty well and the weatehr was very nice. The Cards are, sort of good. 50 years from now, I can say "I saw Trent Durrington triple, Mate."

You know, I was just kidding about the whole names out of a hat line-up thing.

Just for the heck of it, I want Ned to do the ole pull the names out of a hat trick. If for no other reason than the entertainment value.

This season is starting to numb my mind. I'm making the trek on Thursday. Going to be me, a buddy of mine and lots of old people wandering around.

    Ick. Brings back college memories.

Oh, this is kind of fun, I'm logged on @ a HS FB game!

I am a mere mortal, you , Bill, are truly the Man. All of us are just working for, The Man. So, score boys?

Torn here. I would like to see the Crew win, but also wouldn't mind seeing Houston run down the Cubs. I kind of like Phil and this might be his only opportunity to get to post-season. Such the dilemma.

Victor certainly could be the #6 and long guy. Maybe he is jut wearing down. I assume he will be given an equal opportunity. This is the land of opportunity.

Would it amuse anyone if by some act of God, Barry's 700th was an inside-the-park job.

"its sucks how things will tend to normalize over a 162-game season... oh well" Normalization is stupid.

I gotta work tonight, too. Boo, work, boo.
  13. davego
    Hope you feel better, soon.

    Matt Stairs?

Wait 'till Thursday to hit one out. I think I can get away Thursday and Bud can use that extra gate.

My 3 yr-old and I were out in the lawn playing during the contest. She just about flipped out when Brady went yard. Clark is her favorite player (I have no idea why). The microcosm of the life of a Brewer fan. Our children grow up as fans of back-up outfielders. So, if Russell hits 75 x-tra base hits next year, but sets the all-time K record, can we live with that?

You know, I think Wes can pitch for a Major League team, but not one that is going to be successful. I don't mean this to be a rip. You can see him hang on and throw for a few teams that just need "a guy" for a portion of a year. However, can you really see him help anyone in a pennant drive? Except for in a mop up role out of the pen, it is hard to imagine.

    That away Geoff!
  19. davego
Congrats to Wes. I bet that considering his year, that felt extra good.

Shoot, I was just going to say they should "close the roof.".

Another "Jeopardy" moment for the Crew. Can we just jump ahead to 2006?
  22. davego
If you are going to get a guy a off-day, Craig needs one. Po in RF today would have been ok. On the up-side, more Russell, more of the time.
  23. davego
Agreed. Team needs to see him play ASAP.

I'm going on the 23rd. I hope I see this: CF Clark 3b Trent SS Hall 1B Wes RF Ginter LF Magruder 2b Erickson C Bennett P Wes O. That would be the greatest. I would drink much beer and Miller Park might be turned into a Chechen school. (JOKE)

Next game I'm going to will be Sept 23, that way they will really be out of it and we can see even more indifference! If I'm going and going to fork out the $, then they (the Franchise) needs to try to win each and every game. That seems to be the contract between team and fan. That said, after they lost last night I just flipped over to the RNC convention and heaped more suffering upon myself.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
