  1. I'm at least three minutes behind or something.
  2. I agree, shut down ALL COVID talk. Delete mine and dlk9s's. Otherwise I feel the need to correct a suggestion Cain was facing death (which is what dlk9's said), which is completely false even in July 2020 (unless you mean like non zero statistical chance). For the record, it didn't even register to me when Cain opted out. What bothers me is COVID fear talk. It doesn't belong on a baseball website.
  3. Go look at the stats on deaths in the elite athlete demographic from COVID LOL.
  4. I thought they got rid of extra innings runner???
  5. Challenge a close call where you're down 8-0 and there'd be two outs. Really stupid.
  6. I usually don't complain about umps but this guy is terrible.
  7. Well, at least Goldschmidt has a really really ugly running gait. That's a victory.
  8. Organization is in a really good place. We need to enjoy it. Competitive MLB team with mix of young and veterans, solid manager, excellent front office and development team, healthy minors, great owner. Only downer that blog post about AmFam needing replacing.
  9. No Willy, Keston in lineup, Burnesy pitching, me going to the game. All the makings of a three Brewer hit affair.
  10. Keep the start times so people can stop home from work... implement the pitch clock to shorten the game times! A 930-945 finish much more palatable.
  11. So where does the Brewers starters fall in Brewer's history (gotta be the best rotation) and baseball history (excluding longevity, moment in time)?
  12. Yelich makes me irrationally very angry. Maybe it's rational actually.
  13. Yeah, we're really spoiled right now with Stearns and Antannasio. Savvy and they want to be competitive.
  14. Belfast is now available to rent and was excellent.
  15. Don't know how old you are but I'm betting within 5-10 years we'll have amazing sports (and other entertainment options) VR experiences. With Meta/Oculus really gaining broad market appeal and tech advances, hi def VR sports will be here soon.
  16. If and when this gets done I'm going to need a forum thread analyzing and explaining what happened and how it effects the Brewers and their competitiveness. I'm not hopeful with what I understand to be concessions on luxury tax and service time.
  17. How does lessening the CBT, increasing minimum salaries and granting earlier free agency help the small- or medium-market teams like the Brewers whatsoever? Perhaps I'm not looking at this situation 100% straight, but the players share at least part of the blame here. They, by and large, want the large market (i.e. rich) teams to become richer, because in the eyes of the players, the large markets are the only teams spending money on player salaries the way they should. They do not want increased revenue sharing or a competitive balance tax because, in their minds, the owners of the smaller markets are simply going to pocket that money, and not reinvest it into player salaries. But they also don't want a cap, because then that means that we're going to see fewer of these huge mega deals. I'm sorry, but as a fan of one of those small/medium-market teams, I am not in favor of anything that is going to hand more money to the large markets that already operate at a competitive advantage. I know the argument is "Well, those smaller markets just need to spend more!" But I don't get the feeling that Mark Attanasio is Scrooge McDuck-diving into piles of cash that he earns annually through his ownership of the Brewers. Can I co sign this because I agree completely. I will even go a step further and say I am willing to miss games in order to get a better deal for small market teams. +1
  18. Be careful what you wish for. With the broken journalism system these days, we're likely to get some 22 yr old working for minimum wage who can't write a lick and doesn't really care about the Brewers. As Julian hinted at, Jim O. covering the Bucks coming from Packers beat. At least Tom cared and had experience.
  19. https://sports.yahoo.com/the-next-mlb-game-you-watch-will-be-different-the-question-is-how-and-when-183856355.html This article is fantastic at discussing the stakes in this off-season CBA and the rule changes being considered.
  20. Momentum in baseball is crazy. Unstoppable force when you got it.
  21. THANK GOD!!!
