The Orioles have the worst SP in the league. Probably the best team for the Cubs to strart out with after the break. Well that makes me feel a little better but still hate for them to get some momentum.

What gets me is that when asked if they are looking at the standing yet, Maddon emphatically said they were not. I hate to break it to you Joe, even if you have confidence in your team, one should acknowledge where you are or where you want to be. I feel like the Brewers are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NL. I know it's all gamesmanship and strategy, but maddon never acknowledging any problems drives me nuts. Ohhhh you're so unflappable! Piss off. I hope they don't make playoffs.

With reports of the Marlins scouting our minors, and the deadline in three weeks or so, I think this is a good topic. As much as I like the team, the idea of trading pieces from our minors still gives me pause. If we're talking front of the rotation arm, I'd think brinson+ 2 top 30 prospects would be the cost. Recent years have shown that even a bullpen arm will cost a couple top 30 prospects. I just don't think this is the year. At the same time, next year will be another year of major logjams in the OF... Might be able to get away with trading a Phillips, Ray, Clark, etc. Thoughts?

I've noticed that in myself. The longer this team is good, the more I become emotionally invested in them. The more emotionally invested I become, the harder I take it when things go bad. I've been trying to curb it a bit but it's hard.
