  1. I have to say that all the interviews really showcase how close this group is and how amazing this is!
  2. I'll take only one run. I firmly believe we will win the battle of the bullpens if it gets to that point.
  3. From a logistics perspective, we will be in Milwaukee on Sunday. If we tie the Cubs and lose, we should host the WC game. So even though there is no break potentially, we won't have to go cross county at all.
  4. For what it's worth, we hit ESPN's best case scenario.
  5. If we have to face the Cards we should have "Untuckem!"
  6. We could be 1.5 games back after tonight!
  7. My heart expects a sweep. My brain expects 2 of 3. My stomach expects 1 of 3. I don't have an organ that expects to get swept.
  8. His losses: 8 innings 2 ER 7 innings 1 ER 6 innings 3 ER 6 innings 3 ER 8 innings 2 ER 7 innings 3 ER 8 innings 2 ER 6 innings 1 ER 7 innings 2 ER He has only thrown two games (not including the early May games where something weird must have happened) where it wasn't a QS. They were games 1 and 3 of his season! One was opening day where he went 5 2/3 of one run ball and his third game he gave up 4 runs in 6 innings. Funny enough they won both of those games. That is some serious Ben Sheets type game logs. I know this is year 1 of the trade but personally I will wait another year or two to see how the prospects develop. Brantley, IIRC, didn't start kicking butt immediately after the CC trade.
  9. There is blood in the water! Oddly enough, it's pretty fun being the chaser versus the chasee.
  10. Serious question. Is it too soon to post magic numbers for playoffs?
  11. Series win against the Cubs at the minimum. Sweep them tomorrow and have them running out of here scared!
  12. Well if Chacin and Anderson can go somewhat deep then the BP can easily handle an early exit by Junior. I like our chances against Max with a rested BP.
  13. Didn't the KRod alleged domestic issues happen between his stints as a Brewer? If that's the case, then we had no problems /blue
  14. I had thought I had put a prediction in, but alas I did not. It's always fun to look back and see people's thoughts going into the season. Is it too late for me to post my prediction? /blue
  15. First time actually serving jury duty and I'm already amazed at the number of disgruntled, angry people. Yes, it might mean missing work, (myself included) but it doesn't mean you get to be a jerk to everybody else. That being said, since I am here I do wish I will get selected to be on a jury.
  16. I am 3 and 0 in games this year therefore for the sake of the Brewers, I should go to the remaining games.
  17. Certainly not knowing anything about other uses for Target Field or anything else Minnesota related, but one would think they would slightly skew the first week or two towards away games. The Red Sox for example start off the year on a 11 game road trip. Other teams get upset if MLB gives them too many home games in April. If the cold weather + open air stadium teams are going to get away games in April, then the Brewers will be stuck with a bunch of poorly-attended home games. Fair enough. It's another thread but I'm still surprised Minne never got a roof for Target Field

  19. This is shaping up to be very similar to the end of the 2008 season
  20. I never played ball myself but I had a few classes with Jason Jaramillo (Racine Case HS), the AAAA pirates catcher. He actually owns a local sub shop in town now with his uncle.
