  1. Obligatory Major League reference 'What do you mean it's too high?"
  2. 26 first inning pitches. That should get us to the bullpen early.
  3. Do I see that right? The IBB of Shaw to get to the guy who has already homered? Even with 2 walks previously this inning? Bold move, Cotton!
  4. I knew Pina has picked off quite a few runners (7 now) but I didn't realize that led the league. Go Pineapple!
  5. What gets me is that when asked if they are looking at the standing yet, Maddon emphatically said they were not. I hate to break it to you Joe, even if you have confidence in your team, one should acknowledge where you are or where you want to be. I feel like the Brewers are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NL.
  6. If the playoffs started today, if you're in the National League and have a winning record you're in the playoffs.
  7. Makes you wonder what Sheets record could have been with this offense
  8. A bit arbitrary but at the end of last year the Brewers were 21 and 19 for the last month-and-a-half. The Brewers are not that far away from 162 game stretch of over .500 baseball
  9. As ugly as this is, we are only down two. That's nothing with this offense.
  10. Someone tell Vogt he needs to work on his dugout celebration. Those bunny hops between jumps is making him look like Alfonso Soriano. Seriously though, this is what is so encouraging. It's the churning and the improving of the bottom half of the roster. That's where it seems like a lot of games are won and lost.
  11. For those "watching" on gameday, how good/bad was that play at the plate?
  12. July was start with the Brewers leading the National League Central. How many people would have believed that sentence starting this season?
  13. Uh, no. A better way of stating that should have been. Colon is done (DFA) is Homer behind (not able to come back from his injuries)
  14. A win today guarantees a division lead going into July!
  15. What happened? I checked my phone and it said Espino is replacing Chase after 1 inning.
  16. If I understand the waiver process it starts in the NL with the worst records of the previous year. That would mean that if he isn't traded we would have near the first crack at him?
  17. We used to do this back when the Brewers were more competitive and since they are being competitive, I figured we could give this a shot. 25 games. 2 Miami 1-1 3 Baltimore 2-1 1 @ Chubs 0-1 3 @ NY Yankees 2-1 3 Philly 1-2 4 @ Pitt 2-2 3 @ Philly 1-2 3 @ Washington 2-1 3 Chubs 2-1 That puts my guess at 13 and 12. What's your prediction?
  18. [sarcasm]come on! We should pick him up and then flip him for a 3rd prospect![/sarcasm]
  19. We should probably change the title because I think there are going to be a whole bunch of plays from Arcia that look like some of the best we have seen. Bat keeps getting better too, now just a tick under .700 OPS. Mayae I should just chance the name of the thread to "All Things Orlando Arcia" Shortstop WOAH SOLVDD?
  20. Somebody take the glasses off the baseball with all the seeing eye singles.
  21. I had to dig through the pages of yesteryear but we started the official magic number thread in 2011 on August 1st with 56 We really aren't that far off from where we started "for real"
  22. Same here. That was off the plate and should have been near impossible to turn around on
