  1. Is it Phillips? I bet it's Phillips.... Some older (stupid) items were sold bundled with a DVD player, and to be cheap they would use a VGA 15-pin cable to go from the DVD player to the Subwoofer/speaker setup. It's a pretty awful setup, as you're required then to run everything through the DVD player to get sound out of the sound system. http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=HTS3450/37&dct=QAC&faqview=1&refdisplay=AVS_HTS_031&refnr=0006801&scy=GB&slg=ENG You're absolutely spot on being a Phillips. I'll try hooking it through the DVD player and I'll see what happens.
  2. I bought some cheap older surround sound speakers at a charity auction and when I got home noticed that it has a VGA (15 pin connection) That makes no sense to me considering I thought VGA was video only. It does say "to DVD" next to the port on the subwoofer. My TV doesn't have VGA nor HDMI. What am I missing? Both literally and figuratively.
  3. As a semi professional sushi maker, I always look forward to having a sushi party on New years eve!
  4. Old Mother Hubbard's Cupboards are bare indeed
  5. I was just about to post the same thing
  6. Anecdotally, I've wondered if TLR was on the forefront of this evolution. I think he is a giant tool among other things, but he has had a forward way of thinking.
  7. I understand the reasoning for the questions (the top 2 reasons being alcohol and gallstones and I showed no signs of gallstones) but at some point they need to look elsewhere. That being said, when I was released they never did figure out why I did develop the acute pancreatitis.
  8. Pancreatitis: 72 hours after being admitted and now onto liquid diets. Everybody is asking if I'm an alcoholic because that's one of the biggest reasons for pancreatitis. Not sure how many times I can say no before they believe me.
  9. I have to say that without the major expectations of success, this was a very fun season. We have acquired so much more talent on the horizon and beyond. We got to see some unexpected successes (Villar, Broxton, guerra) and yes even though they had some ugly things going on, it seemed like a good year.
  10. Well only 1 game off of the record. I was a bit off on Santana, but injuries detailed that idea. I have no idea if BRef or anybody can split infield from outfield team OPS, but I'm guessing it's around 780 to 800 based on Villar, Carter, scooter and Arcia's stats
  11. Watching the replay this morning of the triple play and there was a few seconds of the brewers rejoicing in the dugout. Years ago it was Braun, Fielder, Hart and Hardy celebrating. Now it was Scooter, Arcia and Santana. Say what you want about the Brewers present, but I think the Brewers will have something really special down the line.
  12. I'm making up numbers here but that logic of worth only goes so far. Say you have a house you are selling. You try to sell your 150k house for 200k and nobody offers. Down the block somebody wants to sell their 100k house for 85k and there is plenty of interest. Does that mean the 2nd house is worth more because there is more interest in that house? I don't think so
  13. I, for one, would love to see a trade involving Rzepczynkski and Samardzija.
  14. Whenever I think of Balking Bob, I am reminiscent of the time Macha, Dickerson, Duncan and a fan getting the heave ho and the announcers fearing (hopefully kidding) that they were next.
  15. At the game, replays seemed like Villar was safe?
  16. Jim "Diego" Edmonds
  17. To me, Puig seems a bit like Nyger Morgan a few years back. He was...eccentric but for the most part the Brewers kept him in check, relatively speaking that is.
  18. I finally closed on our first house this morning and starting moving in!
  19. Well the tallies are in and the Brewers were 8 - 16 in the last 24 games. Obviously not good but a somewhat respectable 7-11 against nonclassy teams. The brewers avoided the 4 or 5 win month they were susceptible to the last 2 years.
  20. If memory serves, we owned the Pirates especially at home a few years back.
  21. With a HR/FB of 26% One out of every 4 fly balls is a homer. That is insane!
