  1. I think the sign is funny and ironic. I agree with the poster who said it could have been put up by a Milwaukee fan given the fact that the Brewers have a pretty sizable lead. By the way, what does captifascist mean? Is that Polish?
  2. Whatever you do, do NOT let the Cub "fans" annoy you into throwing any home run ball back on the field. In fact, it would be very funny if you were able to throw a Cub HR back on the field. (assuming the score of 14-1 Brewers at the time.)
  3. I am going down to Wrigley on Saturday looking for tickets. This is a series I don't want to miss, especially considering the fact that Cubs fans are starting to feel confident again. It'll be nice if the Brewers can squash their hopes.
  4. Pat Hughes has one of the hardest jobs in baseball announcing next to Santo. Most games Santo does not finish a single thought during the broadcast. However, as much as I like Pat Hughes, Jim Powell is better. I agree with the sentiment that Len Kaspar is a sellout. I lost all respect for him when he referred to Miller Park as Wrigley North in the last series. He is a pile of garbage if you ask me.
  5. Those nagging guts must be ignored! Brewers 7 - 3! Double and two walks for Hardy.
  6. Bold prediction: Brewers lose 4-1 and JJ's hit streak ends. Since this prediction is based upon nothing at all, it really is not that bold. If the records of the two teams, the pitchers starting tonight and the experience of the past eighteen games are any reasonable predictor of the outcome of this game, this prediction will be wrong!!!
  7. Kentucky Derby A weekend trip to the 'Downs Thank God for XM.
  8. Branyan is the past Please end the Russell Man Love No More 3 T O
  9. I didnt get to see Bennett's flyout. What happened? Jenkins make a good catch?
  10. Gary Bennett is hitting 6th? What is Larussa doing?
  11. Cue radio call-in hosts: "Sheets is not very good. He's always injured."
  12. I will be in attendance tonight with my seven month pregnant wife so I'll have to keep the taunting of the Cubs fans to a minimum. I am a bit apprehensive of this one considering how well Rich Hill has been pitching this year. The last Brewer game I went to at Wrigley Stadium er...Field ended with a disappointing home run given up by Francisco Cordero. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one will be a better result. Look for me up in the upper deck behind home plate! I agree that Ned managed a good game last night. Villy did well and the Brewers caught a few lucky breaks. Brewers record this year when I am in attendance: 2-0.
  13. I believe he was pulled for Gabe Gross after fouling a ball of his foot two times yesterday.
  14. you guys wouldn't believe what a salve Menard's commercials can be Thanks for bringing a smile despite such a crappy game.
  15. well i prefer being a lurker, but don't want to be accused of bandwagoing... go Crew! Let's start this season off right and alone in first (even if for a couple of hours) I'm with you here. It doesn't get any more exciting than Opening Day. You'd think with a former owner in the White House, we could get this day declared a national holiday!!! Go Brewers.
  16. I will be in Wrigley field tonight to watch the Brewers take the sCrUBS down. I plan on spending most of the game getting the Wrigley faithful riled up regaling them with tales of how much fun it is to root for a team that at least has a shot at the .500 mark. Go Brewers!!!
  17. WARNING SARCASM Who need Sheets and Ohka when we've got Villanueva and Jackson?
  18. It's become obvious that Ned won't pinch hit for either catcher That's not true. Moeller hit a ph home run the night before.
  19. cs with your best hitter at the plate. ugh
  20. On CBS' gamecast, it shows Jenks with 0 rbi's. Is that right?
  21. ESPN Link on Front Page The Brewers look for six straight to open the season for the first time since the magical 1987 season. This will be my first game this year and my seven month old son's first game ever. We're starting him early. I just hope he can make the ride up from Chicago without a meltdown. By the way, First Retro Sunday of the year. Go Cappy!!! On television: FSN North On radio: WTMJ-AM 620
